Question:

May Allah give you good. The first question is from the questions from Miraath website. The questioner from Algeria says. May Allah give you good O Shaykh. Is it possible for the Jinn to steal or take material items from the house, such as gold or wealth?

Shaykh Ubaid:

This category of Jinn does indeed perform the action mention in the question. And that which I found through investigating the situations of the people is that the magicians and charlatans use them (the Jinn) for this purpose. Thus the Jinn place a condition upon them that they seek nearness to them by providing an offering to them. Thus by way of this they fall into shirk. So if they (the magicians and charlatans) do what the Jinn want, they do what they (the magicians and charlatans) want; from stealing, murder, possessing people and other than that.

What would he do about the frequent thoughts which (he thinks) do not please Allaahu Ta’aalaa
Answered by Shaykh Saleh Fawzaan

The questioner asks:

My thoughts often come to me in the things that are displeasing to Allaah and i always reproach myself from these thoughts and i say to myself this is from shaytaan, are the mankind accountable with it?

Shaykh Saleh Fawzaan says:

No, mankind is not accountable with it, (the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said) “My nation is forgiven for their mistakes and forgetfulness and the things that occur in their minds which they do not talk about or do your state of hating to talk about it and stating it, this is a sign of faith and you should seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of shaytaan the accursed and you also have to reject those thoughts and avoid its interaction….Yes

A Deserted Sunnah :Saying, “ Bismillah “ when you Trip

Ibn Baaz and Revenge

by Ahmed Abu Turaab

Dr. Naasir ibn Misfir al-Zahraani said,

“Some students of knowledge came [to Shaikh Ibn Baaz] and complained about someone to him.  They explained his mistakes [to the Shaikh] and some of the issues in which that person had opposed the Sunnah.  So the Shaikh started to dictate a treatise criticising, advising and directing him;while he was doing so someone said, ‘And he speaks ill of you, O Shaikh, and slanders you.’

So the Shaikh said to the scribe, ‘Stop and leave what you are writing for fear that the people will say that the Shaikh is taking revenge for himself.’”
