Question: The Palestinian Intifada has now been going on for 1 ½ years. We throw stones at the jews that either hits them on the head or not. What do you say about throwing stones at the jews or continuing the Intifada in this way at all?

Shaykh al-Albânî: We have honored the intifada from the entire beginning. It deserves to be honored given its courage and heroism. However, it goes about the wrong way. If we firstly consider the Sharî’ah-based texts and thereafter the biography of the prophet (sallâ Allâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam), we see that this matter is in need of preparation. This preparation addresses two matters;

1. the spiritual
2. and the militaristic.

We already know that the prophet (sallâ Allâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and his companions were subjected to hardships by the polytheists in Makkah until Allâh (tabârak wa ta’âlâ) allowed some of them to emigrate even if it be to Abyssinia. Allâh thereafter allowed the prophet (sallâ Allâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) to emigrate from Makkah to al-Madînah. He was followed by those who were able to follow, and others stayed. The believers are up until today subjected to the worst punishments [by the Kuffâr etc], which history is a witness to.

What I want to say is, the Muslims of the world (should not) rush it. They should rather prepare themselves to fight against the disbelievers (Kuffâr) and expel them from the Muslim countries to the disbelieving countries. That is why Allâh (ta’âlâ) said in the Qur’ân:

“And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery, etc.) to threaten the enemy of Allâh and your enemy”

(8:60, interpretation of the meanings)

The intifada is undoubtedly just as (it was) before though even more evident. It has not been prepared at all in order to be able to fight against the disbelievers who have occupied this country (I.e. Palestine). Both spiritual and militaristic preparations are missing.

Secondly, we see that it is useless and worthless to confront various types of machine guns by way of stones. That is why I do not see any results from this intifada. It has now been going on for two entire years and they still stand on the same spot. Especially since the Arabic countries, who after all have a fairly [acceptable] military force, doesn’t help our brothers militaristically.

So Who are the Khawaarij Today? – Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah)

Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillaah wa salatu wa salaamu ‘ala rasulullaah
Amma ba’d

So Who are the Khawaarij Today?

The Ideology of the Khawaarij Sect is disseminated amongst Muslims today via the teachings of Sayyid Qutb, Hasan al-Banna, Ikhwaanul-Muslimoon and their many spinoffs.

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) said:

quote:
One of the different misguided groups still working to hide the truth from the people is the Khawaarij… From those who carry the ideology of the Khawaarij is “Ikhwanul Muslimeen,” founded by Hassan al-Banna [no relation].

And we say “rahimahullaah,” because we hope that he may have repented before he died. However, it was narrated about Hassan al-Banna after what happened in his final days when he was arrested by the Egyptian government amongst the ranks of Ikhwanul Muslimeen because of demonstrations on the streets of Egypt and blowing up some places with bombs and fighting the police on the streets and so on, that he said, ‘I wish we continued upon worshipping Allaah and reciting adhkaar.’ He never said here Tawheed [singling out Allaah] or anything relating to Tawheed [the call of which he was known for dismissing, as you'll soon read in sha` Allaah]. So we hope that he may have repented to Allaah – between him and Allaah – to the true religion [meaning correct Islam].

He never called the people to Tawheed, he never showed them Tawheed versus shirk, or Sunnah versus bid’ah. Rather, when asked about Tawheed, or the Names and Attributes of Allaah, or those calling upon the people in the graves, he and Ikhwanul Muslimeen would not say anything but general talk without explanation or delving into details. Even in his memoirs, he stated that calling upon those in the graves did not have anything to do with ‘aqeedah. [Calling upon those in the graves is, of course, Major Shirk! Aoodhoobillaah!] And his followers followed him in this same path.

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) recounted his own experiences as a child and later as a young adult with this group – Ikhwanul Muslimeen – which carries the ideology of the Khawaarij:

quote:
We were young at the time, so we said what the people were saying. And Al-Hamdulillaah, Allaah guided us to the true manhaj (methodology) and correct ‘aqidah (creed), via our (righteous) scholars. And we learned the truth of the matter. …Hassan al-Banna [the founder of this deviant group] called the people to his ‘aqidah, and part of his ‘aqeedah was to be in different parties – against the rulers – and to refute the actions of the rulers that they saw as against the religion. And they used to spread this in the society among the people. But we still believe they [Ikhwanul Muslimeen] were not disbelievers. And the same goes for the [Muslim] rulers, whom we do not declare to be disbelievers.

Here’s what our Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) said about the encounters between Hassan al-Banna [the founder of Ikhwanul Muslimeen] and righteous Salafi scholar Muhammad Hammid al-Fiqhee (rahimahullaah):

quote:
Hassan al-Banna [the founder of Ikhwanul Muslimeen] visited Shaikh Muhammad Hammid al-Fiqhee (rahimahullaah) in his Jam’eeyah, and told him: ‘The Muslims are lost!’ (meaning they’re broken apart in division and groups) and have no strength whatsoever, and they’re not living the life of Islam.’

So the Shaikh Muhammad Hammid al-Fiqhee asked him, ‘What is the exit (solution)?’

So Hassan al-Banna [the founder of Ikhwanul Muslimeen] said, ‘Call them to Islam.’

Shaikh Muhammad al-Fiqhee said, ‘Which Islam?’ Hassan al-Banna [the founder of Ikhwanul Muslimeen] said, ‘General Islam that is befitting for the laymen of the Muslims.’

So Shaikh Muhammad al-Fiqhee refused and said, ‘Rather, we call them to Tawheed and Manhaj.’ [Which is a more specific call to the correct Islam - prioritizing Tawheed and the Sunnah - that all the Messengers ('alaihimu salaam) called to; and is also a focus on eeman and not numbers at the expense of eeman; in addition to the forbidding of shirk and bid'ah, and not ignoring them for the sake of superficial numbers.]

Hassan al-Banna [the founder of Ikhwanul Muslimeen] said, ‘They will divide when we mention Tawheed.’

Shaikh Muhammad al-Fiqhee said, quoting the ayah: Not upon you (Muhammad ) is their guidance (Al-Baqarah 2:272)

And every time Hassan al-Banna [the founder of Ikhwanul Muslimeen] visited the Shaikh Muhammad al-Fiqhee, the Shaikh al-Fiqhee repeated his call to Tawheed and to understand the religion with the understanding of the Salaf-us-saleh (righteous predecessors). And the Shaikh al-Fiqhee kept rejecting Hassan al-Banna’s invitations [to join his deviant group Ikhwanul Muslimeen], and the Shaikh al-Fiqhee kept on telling him, ‘this is the way of the Messengers, and I am steadfast upon this.’ So they ended up going in different ways.

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) shared some of his extremely disturbing experiences with Ikhwanul Muslimeen and harrowing accounts of their deviance, and thirst for Muslim blood, and making takfeer without due right:

quote:
As a young man, I would go with some of the youth of Ikhwanul Muslimeen, those who lived around me. They used to call me to sit with them and to be part of their group (then he became more acquainted with more of their groups). They used to call me to be part of their group, but Allaah had given me the success at the time to know what Tawheed is, via my brother Shaikh Muhammad al-Banna (rahimahullaah), who was the one who called me to attend the classes and khutbas of Shaikh al-Fiqhi. So Allaah opened my heart to this correct ‘aqeedah and I say ‘Al-Hamdulillaah for the correct ‘aqeedah and manhaj.’

They used to call me to outings and picnics ‘where we can get some fresh air and … in the gardens.’ And I used to call them to Tawheed through our discussions whenever an opportunity was available, and they always objected to my speech regarding ‘Aqeedah. They always objected to my speech regarding ‘Aqeedah. And they always would say ‘our ‘Shaikh’ Hassan al-Banna did not say so.’ Because they used to hold the words of Hassan al-Banna as ‘Holy Words,’ and would never see him as making a mistake. Not just with Hassan al-Banna but also with all the leaders of Ikhwanul Muslimeen, believing that if they agreed with one another – even if it has some negation to Islam – it would strengthen the brotherhood and keep the unity of the group. If a person made a mistake in his statement or khutbah, opposing the truth, they would not correct him or review with him his mistake – ‘to preserve the unity’ as they were claiming.

I do not mean their leaders were calling to kufr, but they were calling to the ‘aqeedah of the Khawaarij. They definitely are a misguided group, but they’re not disbelievers.

And those times, we would hear via the news that the Egyptian government had found out via the police force and investigating forces that Ikhwanul Muslimeen had hiding places full of weapons and bombs, but the general Egyptian public used to say, ‘this is just false claims of the Egyptian government and is not true.’ But I myself – with the bounty of Allaah – was called one day by some of the youth of Ikhwanul Muslimeen to one of their meetings on the day of Jumu’ah before salatul Jumu’ah. So they would plan how they would go against the government and their policies with the English (British) who at the time were occupying Egypt. So I went with them to one of the houses of the men of Ikhwanul Muslimeen, and they were talking about how they were going against the head of the Egyptian government Sidqi Basha, and how they were going to make demonstrations and slogans against the government.

So I advised them as best as I can against such actions and, on my way out of that room, I saw two or three men helping one another in carrying a big box. And when they took it off their shoulders, I saw the box was full of guns or pistols. So I started thinking seriously about this group, and about the statements of most of the general public that what was in the newspaper and media accusing the Ikhwanul Muslimeen movement of owning weapons or ammunition, and I saw this to be the truth that no one knew except a few from the ranks of Ikhwanul Muslimeen.

And before all of this, they were training the youth in the arts of fighting on how to be combatants to get ready for ‘the main battle,’ as they were claiming, through physical excercises and teaching them how to carry weapons and use them in secret places or secret ways.

I didn’t go to those [secret] places. When I was in Cairo University, some of the Ikhwanul Muslimeen called us to one of these events. And those holding such excercises were telling the people: ‘we must learn how to fight the British and force them to leave Egypt.’ The Ikhwanul Muslimeen ranks of file were many and plenty at Cairo University and they were calling the youth to military excercises to come and train with military excercises. One day, we went and did some excercises with them, knowing that these excercises were known to the Egyptian government and they weren’t a secret. Then one or two of their ranks, who had knowledge of explosives, came and blew one or two bombs in front of the crowd, bombs called “Sawtiya” (meaning the ones that make a lot of noise but no damage). And they commanded us to land on our stomachs, like they do in the military and so on.

And that excercise was attended by Hassan al-Hudaybi, who later became the leader of Ikhwanul Muslimeen after [founder] Hassan al-Banna died.

And from these incidents that took place after what I’ve learned – Al-Hamdulillaah – regarding the correct, authentic religion and the clarification, and what the religion says about the different groups that go against the people of the Sunnah and from them the groups of al-Khawaarij and other than them.

After what happened in Egypt that some of the rank and file of the Ikhwanul Muslimeen killed the president of an Egyptian Court because he ruled imprisonment for some of the youth, so they blew up part of that court with bombs or explosives. Then one incident after another, they also killed the president of the police force of the city of Cairo. Then they killed the Prime Minister of Egypt Ahmad Maher Basha, and after him they killed the successive Prime Minister Mahmoud an-Nakrashi basha. Then they killed other then them from the presidents of the government, and the higher ranks of the Egyptian court. And all of this has been documented, and no man can be mistaken about it, and no man after all of this can have good thoughts about Ikhwanul Muslimeen.

Especially [disturbing is] that some of the youth of Ikhwanul Muslimeen when they meet me, they would show happiness for the killing of the Prime Minister or other than him of the rulers whom they considered to be ‘kufaar.’

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) then explained how Allaah exposed the reality of Ikhwanul Muslimeen to the public:

quote:
Besides all of this, the news that I am saying now was not known in detail at the time, except for recent days or maybe recent years. And books have been written by some of the members of Ikhwanul Muslimeen, those who have broken away from the sect. In addition to what has been written in Egyptian newspapers and what the police force and general security forces have found out regarding Ikhwanul Muslimeen and the weapons and ammunition that they would hide in different apartments around Cairo and other than Cairo. Also more destruction was committed by Ikhwanul Muslimeen that was discovered by the police force in Egypt.

In addition, there was an apartment in Cairo called “Shubra” that was full of ammunitions and weapons. So when the police tried to [raid the apartment] and the general security forces tried to enter the apartment and chase by force the members of Ikhwanul Muslimeen – wal Hamdulillaah – and the members were chased out, then some of the members of Ikhwanul Muslimeen started shooting the police force on the street from different windows in the building, and it turned into a fight back-and-forth with weapons, and so on, with many victims.

Then the news came after that – and before that, too – that Ikhwanul Muslimeen were upon the way of the Khawaarij. It became obvious. And they were instigating the masses to go against the government and against the ruler, and fight the government with weapons and the like.

And from (them) were those who called themselves “Qa’diyah” (the sitters), and al-Qa’dah, by the way, refers to the fact that they are sitting down. They bunker down (for the lack of a better word). They would not fight; rather they would train others to fight and supply them with weapons and ammunition to fight on their behalf. So they gather between instigating the people to fight against the rulers and giving them the weapons to do so, and killing whoever stands in their way from the police force and general security forces.

I’d like to remind you that [these accounts] of Ikhwanul Muslimeen came from the mouths and books and writings of some members of Ikhwanul Muslimeen who broke away from them and exposed their secrets [by the permission and bounty of Allaah].

And lastly, not too long ago, the Shaikh Mahmoud Lutfi’amir (hafidhahullaah) – the Salafi da’ee in the city of Damanhur in Egypt has written two books about Ikhwanul Muslimeen and about their secret structure that has been exposed, and has been mentioned in detail by those who broke away from them.

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) gave an up-to-date on Ikhwanul Muslimeen in Egypt:

quote:
The Egyptian government stopped all Ikhwanul Muslimeen activities – wal-Hamdulillaah – all over the Arab Republic of Egypt. And after all these incidents, today Ikhwanul Muslimeen is still trying – in secret and hiding – to shake down the Egyptian government…This is the reality of Ikhwanul Muslimeen. Allaah decreed it, and He does what He wills.

Here are additional excerpts from the detailed lesson that the Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) gave:

Among those affected by the calls of Ikhwanul Muslimeen:

quote:
Muhammad Adh-Dhawaahiri and Ayman Adh-Dhawaahiri, and Usamah bin Laden. Shaikh Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah) called them “Khawaarij.” And Mulla ‘Umar (was also affected by the call of Ikhwanul Muslimeen).

About Sunnah and bid’ah, which the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) spoke about in every khutbah, Ikhwanul Muslimeen say:

quote:
There’s no need to mention any of this.

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) reflected upon the injury and harm that the deviance of Ikhwanul Muslimeen (and the rest of the Khawaarij) has caused:

quote:
And I feel sorry in my heart as a result of the actions of Ikhwanul Muslimeen – as you’ve seen from the news and incidents that took place – that a part of the Muslims in Egypt and other lands have deviated from the correct and authentic ‘aqeedah (belief), and have fallen into the corrupt ‘aqeedah of the Khawaarij, and became – audhoobillaah – a bad reputation for all of us together as Muslims. There’s no person in Europe and the rest of the world except that he would say, ‘The Muslims are people of fighting and terrorism.’

This also has brought negative attention to the call [itself] to the correct manhaj and the callers to Tawheed, who became lumped along with the (deviated) Muslims. And this is because of the ignorance of some of the people or (maybe due to) some purpose that they have on their own to shake down the Muslims and push the rest of the people away from the correct religion.

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) reminded us to reflect upon the evil result of the ‘aqeedah of Ikhwanul Muslimeen (and the rest of the Khawaarij), and be grateful to Allaah that He saved us from it:

quote:
This corrupt ‘aqeedah of the Khawaarij has affected all Muslim lands. It is sufficient for the Muslims to hear what the Khawaarij have done, and how they have affected the Muslim society as a whole, that would lead you to hate all of their actions, and it would lead you to declare your innocence from such false ideologies, especially the ideology of the Khawaarij. Also, this should lead us to prostrate to Allaah, and praise Him for guiding us to the Qur`an and Sunnah upon the Understanding of the Salaf-us-saleh, and for being saved from (the ideology of the Khawaarij), such that whoever follows it would be led to the hellfire. Audhoobillaah!

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) warned us from falling for the tricks of those who defend Ikhwanul Muslimeen:

quote:
And don’t believe anybody who defends them (Ikhwanul Muslimeen), saying, ‘these brothers are good brothers. They have love for Islam; they have honor for Islam’…These are nothing but empty slogans. And if (they truly have love for Islam), this is not the way to express it. But rather, the way to do it is for the Muslims to be gathered together upon the [Prophet's] ‘aqidah and manhaj under the banner of the people of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah, upon the Qur`an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf-us-saleh…

Allaah said: Allaah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allaah). (An-Nur, ayah 55)

Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah) advised:

quote:
If you come across these people, advise them. If they reject, leave them; don’t argue with them. …And don’t praise them… And (remember) all of this has taken place by the Qadr of Allaah.

The shaikh also reminded us of this hadeeth:

quote:
Hudhaifah Bin al Yamaan (radiallaahu ‘anhu) said: People used to ask the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) about the good times, but I used to ask him about bad times lest they overtake me.

I said: Messenger of Allaah, we were in the midst of ignorance and evil, and then Allaah brought us this good (time through Islam). Is there any bad time after this good one?

He said: Yes.

I asked: Will there be a good time again after that bad time?

He said: Yes, but therein will be a hidden evil.

I asked: What will be the evil hidden therein?

He said: (That time will witness the rise of) the people who will adopt ways other than mine and seek guidance other than mine. You will know (their) good points as well as (their) bad points.

I asked: Will there be a bad time after this good one?

He said: Yes. (A time will come) when there will be people standing and inviting at the gates of Hell. Whosoever responds to their call they will throw them into the fire.

I said: Messenger of Allaah, describe them for us.

He said: All right. They will be a people having the same complexion as ours and speaking our language.

I said: Messenger of Allaah, what do you suggest if I happen to live in that time?

He said: You should stick to the main body of the Muslims and their leader.

I said: If they have no (such thing as the) main body and have no leader?

He said: Separate yourself from all these factions, though you may have to eat the roots of trees (in a jungle) until death comes to you and you are in this state.

(Collected by Bukhari and Muslim. The wording of the above is that of Imaam Muslim)

The shaikh said about this hadeeth:

quote:
This does not mean that a person isolates himself – audhoobillaah. He should still make his salat in Jama’ah and fulfill the rights to Allaah. But if the situation becomes dire – worst-case scenario – he can go to the desert and stay safe from everybody’s harm. That also does not mean that a person leaves the land of the Muslims.

All Praise is for Allaah, Who guided us to the path of our Prophet Muhammad (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) and saved us from the path of the one (Dhul-Khwaisrah at-Tameemi) who rebelled against the Prophet.

Shaikh ‘Abdul Muhsin Al-’Abbaad Was Asked About The Killing Of The Kharijite Bin Laden

Shaikh ‘Abdul Muhsin Al-’Abbaad Was Asked About The Killing Of The Kharijite Bin Laden

Question: What is the balanced position concerning the killing of Usamah Bin Laden as there are those who are delighted with his killing, and others who said that he was a “Mujaahid” and they judged him to have achieved martyrdom?

Shaikh ‘Abdul Muhsin Al-’Abbaad (hafidhahullaah) said:

How is he a Mujaahid?! Yes, he was a Mujaahid [a person who strove] in the path of the devil. Usamah Bin Laden brought a great deal of evil to the Muslims, and there is no doubt that his departure will bring them ease; the people will be more at ease due to his departure.

Usama Bin Ladin Was A Calamity Upon the Muslim Nation – Praising Him Is A Deficiency In Ones Understanding Of Islam

Shaikh Muqbil bin Hadi al-Wadi’i (Rahimullah), the Salafi Scholar of Yemen stated:

“I absolve and exonerate myself (in front of Allah) from Bin Ladin, for he is a misfortune and a calamity upon the ummah (Muslim nation), and his actions are evil.” [Published in the Kuwaiti magazine, ar-Ra'i, dated 19 December 1998]

The Shaykh  Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan was asked: Is Bin Laden and those who follow his views and promote his beliefs considered to be from the (deviant sect known as the) Khawaarij?

Shaikh Al-Fawzaan: “There is a (well known) principle, and this is that everyone who rebels against those in authority is considered to be from the Khawaarij, whether this is Bin Laden or anyone else. Anyone who rebels against the Muslim leaders is deemed to be from the Khawaarij.” [1427/2/5 in the lesson  The Explanation of the Creed']

Shaikh Salih Aal ash-Shaikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Saudi Arabia, stated in a lecture on the subject of deviations in the understanding of Islam:

“….until in these times, perhaps you have heard some teachers praising Usama Bin Ladin, and this is a deficiency in understanding Islam.”

Sheikh Maher Ben Dhafer Al-Qahtani on the killing of Bin Laden

Atheists and tyrannies should know that killing Ben Laden -if they truly did- is not a victory against Islaam
Sheikh Maher Ben Dhafer Al-Qahtani

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All praise is due to Allaah, as He deserves, and may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon his last prophet Muhammed.

To proceed,

Christians, Jews and atheistic people in the west were happy due the announcement of the USA president, Barak Obama, about the murder of Usama Ben Laden, the one of innovated jihad. They thought that is a victory for them against Islaam and Muslims, but they were misleaded about Al-haaq (the truth) because of that. And if they declared it publicly and people believed it, they would therefore deceive lots of confused people about the truth of Islaam. They did not know that for us (i.e. Muslim nation) Usama Ben Laden does not represent the real muslim because a real muslim should worship Allaah because Allaah is the creator of mankind, and should follow what the prophet Muhammad -salla Allaah ‘aleyhi wassallam- has commanded him to do, and seek knowledge on the basis of the Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad -salla Allaah ‘aleyhi wassallam- and his companions, and not to follow the innovators who have been astrayed like what Ath-Dhawaheri, Ben Laden, Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimeen, At-Tablighiyeen, As-Sufiyya, Al-Qadyaniyya, and other takfiriyeen have happened to them.

The ones who represent Islaam are the prophet Muhammad’s companions like Abu Baker Asseddeeq, Omar Al-Farooq, Othman, Ali, Ibn Mas’ood, Ibn Abbaas, Aisha and others, radiyallaahu ‘anhum ajma’een (may Allaah be pleased with all of them). Also their followers like ‘Ata’, Tawoos, Sa’eed Ibin Al-Musayyeb, Omar Ibin Abd Al-Azeez, Waheb Iben Mandah radiyallaahu ‘anhum ajma’een; and later scholars like Imam Malek IBen Anas, Al-Imam As-Shafe’ee, Ahmad IBen Hanbal, and Al-Owza’ee and whom followed them upon the righteous salafee Manhaj (ancestor’s methodology), rahimahum-ullaah ajma’een (may Allaah’s blessings be upon all of them); Allaah says: [And the foremost to embrace Islâm of the Muhâjirûn (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansâr (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhâjirûn) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allâh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.] (At-Taubah (The Repentance): 100).

Those mentioned above and the ones who followed them upon the righteous Manhaj represent Islaam because they knew it so well. But Ben Laden did not follow them exactly (in Faith), he was not on the right path, he was either ignorant about their methodology in Jihaad or a man who speaks of (his own) desire (sahib hawa). He did not seek knowledge from the scholars nor he has shown that he was knowledgeable. He just sent threats and excommunicate the rulers without a proof; and he was obsessed with exploding and hijacking. Usama Ben Laden did not get the strength to fear the enemies, neither he got the righteous methodology to convince the people. And certainly he had not got the correct way to talk properly with the rulers and the nation, like the prophet did while he was in Makkah, the one who Allaah said about him inSûratAl-Qalam (also called Sûrat Nûn)/(The Pen): [And Verily, you (O Muhammad salla Allaah 'aleyhi wassallam) are on an exalted (standard of) character.]. Allaah commanded his prophet Muhammad -salla Allaah ‘aleyhi wasallam- to be gentle and wise while preaching, he said in the Qur’aan: [Invite (mankind, O Muhammad salla Allaah 'aleyhi wassallam) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islâm) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Revelation and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better.] (An-Nahl (The Bees): 125). And Allaah also says in the Qur’aan: [And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner, inviting them to Islâmic Monotheism with His Verses)(Al-'Ankabût (The Spider): 46).

Muslims who have some nonfeasance and negligence are not worse than Pharaoh who tortured his people, yet Allaah said for Moses: ["And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear (Allâh)."] (Tâ-Hâ: 44) even though Pharaoh was saying “I am your lord, most high” and he persecuted Children of Israel, enslaved them, he was afflicting them with a horrible torment, killing their sons and sparing their women, his crimes and cruelty were a great calamity to them. One day, while the prophet Muhammad -salla Allaah ‘aleyhi wa sallam- was in Makkah, he gathered the people on As-Safa and asked them if they would believe him if he said that a herd of horses are coming toward them behind the valley. They answered that they have not found him except an honest man. So he told them that He is only a warner to them in face of a severe torment. He wanted to warn them from Allaah’s punishment and that they have to worship the only god- Allaah; because they did know that He -alone by himself- has created them, provided them from the sky and earth, the one who disposes the affairs of the skies and earth by himself. He (i.e. The prophet -salla Allaah ‘aleyhi wa sallam-) did not hurt them, he talked to them wisely. He wanted them to testify that there is none who has the right to be worshiped but Allaah -azzaa wa Jaal-, he just asked them to say «Lâ ilâha illa Allaah» (there is none who has the right to be worshiped but Allaah) so that they can be saved from Hell. His main concern was calling for monotheism (tawheed Allaah).

On the contrary, Ben Laden was killing and exploding without preaching and without explaining for people what Islaam really calls for. The prophet Muhammad -salla Allaah ‘aleyhi wa sallam- made a treaty with the non-Muslims which is known by “Solh Al-Hodaybiya”. There were no fights nor violence, just negotiations and talking peacefully. Therefore, because of that treaty, many people entered Allaah’s religion (Islaam) in crowds, and after that the conquest of Makkah, and Muslims occupied lots of countries throughout the eastern and western areas, and so many other victories afterwards. All of that because they were applying the reality of monotheism (tawheed) and the prophet’s way (Sunnah). They preached people using evidences and reciting Qur’aan and explaining its verses by the Sunnah and what the righteous salafee ancestors were upon . They won because they spread Islaam by words and actions not by sword and blood, and Allaah said in the Qur’aan: [O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allâh, He will help you, and make your foothold firm.] (Muhammad also called Sûrat Al-Qitâl (Muhammad) or (The Fighting):7).

Because of that Ben Laden did not win (he did not help in the cause of Allaah), he did not learn the methodology. And Scholars of Islaam denied his noxious way of Jihad, killing, destruction, and expelling muslim rulers, and his disobedience without a proof and evidence. The Scholar Al-Imaam Abdel Azeez Ibn Baaz -rahimahullaah- said «Ben Laden has to repent from his noxious behavior», and so did other scholars of Sunnah. Except the ones of innovation, they encouraged him and portrayed him as a hero! And they forgot that heroism is guided with wisdom and what was stated in the Qur’aan, ahaadeeth and the understanding of the Salaf. Ben Laden was on the way of Al-Khawarej by expelling them from Islaam (tekfeer al-hukaam). He revolted against the ruler of his own country (i.e. the King of Saudi Arabia) and went to Afghanistan, and organized a team for bombing, takfeer (expelling people and rulers from Islaam), and for destruction, in the name of Al-jihad!! BUT, it is just corruption that Lord of Mankind doesn’t not authorize. The prophet -salla Allaah ‘aleyhi wa sallam- worn from Al-Khawarej because they are ruthless with Ahl Al-Islaam, how come with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)!!

Manhaj of Ikhwaanul-Muslimeen (Muslim Brotherhood)

February 11, 2011 Leave a comment

Ten Points Regarding the Manhaj of Ikhwaanul-Muslimeen,

by the Muftee of Jeezaan, Shaykh Ahmad ibn Yahyaa an-Najmee (rahimahullaah)
From his book: Al-Fataawa al-Jaliyyah ‘anil-manaahij ad-Da’wiyyah (pgs 102-104)

Translated by Aboo Sufyaan ‘Uthmaan Beecher

The noble Shaykh (rahimahullaah) said:

The definition of Ikhwaanul-Muslimeen is: they are those who follow and attach (themselves) to Hasan al-Banaa, and there are some observations upon their manhaj, the most important of which follow:

1) Carelessness and neglect in regards to Tawheed al-’Ibaadah, which is the most important thing in Islaam, and the servant’s Islaam is not correct except by it.

2) Their silence and approval of the people being upon Shirk al-Akbar (major Shirk), from du’aa to other than Allaah, and circumambulation (tawaaf) of the graves, and swearing oaths to their inhabitants, and sacrificing by their names, and what is similar to that.

3) That verily the founder of this manhaj is soofee; he has a connection to the Soofiyyah, taking the bay’ah from ‘Abdul-Wahhaab al-Hasaafee upon his Hasaafiyyah ash-Shaadhiliyyah Tareeqah (soofee order).

4) The presence of innovation amongst them, and their establishing worship by it; rather it is the basis of their manhaj. They attest that the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhee wa salaam) attends their sittings of dhikr and forgives them for what has proceeded from their sins, in their saying:

“The Ilaah sent prayers upon the noor [i.e. the Prophet] which appeared
for the ‘aalameen (all that which exists), and outshined the sun and the moon, this is the beloved [i.e. the Prophet] attending with the beloved and has forgiven for all that which has passed and taken place.”

5) Their call to (establishing) the khilaafah, and this is a bid’ah, for verily the Messengers and those who followed them were not commanded except with the call to at-Tawheed. The Most High said:

And verily, We have sent among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allaah (Alone), and avoid at-Taaghoot (all false deities and objects of worship).” An-Nahl (16):36

6) The non-existence of al-walaa` wal-baraa` amongst them or its weakness. And they make that clear through their da’wah to closeness between [those upon] the Sunnah and the Shee’ah, and the saying of their founder: “We cooperate [with each other] in that which we agree upon, and we excuse each other in that which we disagree in.”

7) Their hatred for Ahlut-Tawheed, and the people [who traverse] the path of Salafiyyah, and their loathing of them and they make that plain in their statements regarding the country of Saudi Arabia, which was established upon at-Tawheed, and teaches at-Tawheed in its schools and in its institutions and universities; and from the murder of Jameel ar-Rahmaan al-Afghaanee because he was calling to at-Tawheed, and he was one who had schools in which he taught at-Tawheed.

8) Their scrutiny and pursuit of the mistakes of the rulers, and searching for their shortcomings, whether it is true or a lie, and spreading them amongst the inexperienced youth so as to cause them to hate and loathe them [the rulers] and to fill their hearts with hostility towards them.

9) The foul disgusting hizbiyyah (blind partisanship and bigotry) which they ascribe to. So they support and have closeness on account of this hizb (party), and show enmity and oppose on account of it.

10) Taking the bay’ah (oath of allegiance) to work for the Ikhwaanee manhaj with the ten conditions which its founder mentioned, and there are other observations to be made which it is possible that we take them later.

TN: These ten conditions or pillars of the bay’ah of Ikhwaanul-Muslimeen are mentioned in al-Banaa’s Majmoo’atur-Risaa’il (p.268), where he said: “O you brothers who are truthful! The pillars of our bay’ah are ten, so memorize and hold on to them:
(1) Understanding (2) Sincerity (3) Action (4) al-Jihaad (5) self-sacrifice (6) Obedience (7) firmness and strength
(8) Impartiality (9) Brotherhood  (10) Trust.”

Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmee (rahimahullaah) made the following observations about Hassan al-Bannah, founder of Ikhwanul Muslimeen(muslim brotherhood),. a deviant group that started decades ago in egypt:

1- al-Bannah diluted these people (by going to these shrines) into believing that du’aa to the grave, or tawaaf around the grave, or sacrifice, or vowing to other than Allaah is from Islam.

2- al-Bannah gave power to the grave-worshippers.

3- al-Bannah accepted the mushrikun, even though their ‘aqidah may have been that of the Rafidah, who believe their imams are mistake-free. [Only Allaah is Perfect!] Never did al-Bannah tell the Shi’a, or Qadariah, or Mu’tazila to leave their ‘aqidah. [Note: Prophets are mistake-free regarding sins and in (conveying) the religion]

4- al-Bannah called the Shi’a his “brothers”, even though they call their imam “perfect”, even though they say that Angel Jibril (‘alaihi salaam) erred in sending the Qur’an to the Prophet, even though they curse Abu Bakr and ‘Umar and ‘Uthman, also calling them “kufar”, even though they call ‘Aisha an adultress (despite Allaah exonerating her in the Qur`an], even though they say the Qur`an is incomplete…

5 – al-Bannah tried to bring the Muslims together regardless of ‘aqidah, instead of trying to bring them together upon correctness, upon the correct ‘aqidah, upon the truth. [al-Bannah] said: “The Shi’a and Sunni are Muslimun. They are united upon the banner of la illaha il Allaah.”  [The deviant al-Bannah of Ikhwan al-Muslimeen] also said: “Our problems with the Jews is not religious, because the Qur`an encourages us to be with them, and Allaah has praised the Jews. And every time, the Qur`an deals with them, it deals with them on an economical level.”

6- al-Banna’s erroneous beliefs that tawassul is not from ‘aqidah. His 15th Principal from his book of 20 principals is: if du’aa is attached to tawassul, then this is from the brances of the deen and not from ‘aqidah.”  [Nadharat fi Risalit Ta'lim]

[Note: Legislated Tawassul are three:
a- asking righteous people to make du'aa to Allaah for you;
b- asking by Allaah's Names and Attributes; and
c- to ask by virtue of one's good deeds.
If it was legislated to make tawassul through the Prophet (salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) after his death, 'Umar would not have asked 'Abbaas to make du'aa to Allaah for rain. Ibn Taymiyyaah said: The sahaba used to make tawassul through the du'aa of the Prophet when he was ALIVE, but when he died, they sought tawassul with the du'aa of 'Abbas...Du'aa is an act of 'ibaada, and has to be done according to the Sunnah (and du'aa to other than Allaah is Major Shirk).]

7- al-Bannah attached himself to a Sufi ‘Aqidah, in the Hisafia tariqa. He admitted this and admitted (pg. 28 and pg. 29) to sitting with them [Jamiati Al Hisafia]. He actually started a Sufi order. And he was chosen as their secretary. The leaders of the Ikhwanees had an Ash’aree ‘aqidah, distorting Allaah’s attributes. They make the Attributes like a puzzle and a riddle, but Allaah’s religion is clear (bayinah).

Whoever asks Allaah sincerely for martyrdom..

September 26, 2010 3 comments

“Whoever asks Allah sincerely for martyrdom [Allahumma inni as'aluk ash-shahadah], Allah will cause him to reach the status of the martyrs even if he dies in his bed.” ['Sahih al-Bukhari'; # 1909]

[Al-`Adawee said it was sound, and that it was reported by by Muslim, page 55 of volume 13; Abu Dãwood, page 179 of volume 2; and Ibn Mãjah, #2797.]

Umm Waraqah bint ‘Abdullaah bin Haarith Ansariah (radiallaahu ‘anhaa)

The Prophet, salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam said:

“ Umm Waraqah! Dwell in your House, Allaah will give you the death of a martyr”

The Ansaar of Al-Madeenah were standing on the outskirts of their city, looking with inpatient eyes towards the road approaching from Makkah.

Men, women, girls and boys, the young and the old were waiting for the arrival of their beloved Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam who was migrating from his city to theirs at their invitation and at the command of Allaah, subhanna wa ta’alaa. Suddenly someone shouted, “ Here they come!”. And all the young girls and women burst into a song of praise of Allaah subhanna wa ta’alaa and a welcome to His Messenger salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam.

Among the Ansaaree women was Umm Waraaqah bint ‘Abdullaah radiallaahu ‘anha. She was a learned, scholarly, pious and modest lady , who was well known amongst the female companions (May Allaah be pleased with them) as one who spent her nights and days in prayer and meditation. She used to recite the Noble Qu’raan beautifully; it was second nature for her to spend a lot of time meditating on the meaning of its Verses.

The Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam valued her highly and he told her to lead the family in congregational prayers. The courtyard of the house was converted into a masjid; with the permission of the Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam they had a Mu’aadheen to give the call for prayers. ‘Abdur-Rahmaan bin Khaalad says that he saw the Mu’aadheen, who was a very aged man. Thus Umm Waraqah bint ‘Abdullaah radiallaahu ‘anhaa was appointed by the Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam to be an Imaam and lead the prayers for the women.

Besides her thirst for knowledge of the Qu’raan, Shar’eeah (Islaamic legislation) and Ahaadeeth, Umm Waraqaah radiallaahu ‘anhaa had a burning desire to die as a martyr in the cause of al-Islaam. When it was announced that the army should prepare to leave for the battle of Badr, Umm Waraaqah radiallaahu ‘anhaa went to the Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam and volunteered her services to tend to the wounded in the battlefield. She told him salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam that it was her earnest desire to die in the cause of al-Islaam. The Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam could see her enthusiasm and ardour but he told her to stay at home and she would attain martyrdom there. She went back happily because it was her duty to yield to the command of the Messenger of Allaah salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam.

The Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam would sometimes take along some of His Companions and visit the home of Umm Waraaqah radiallaahu ‘anhaa. He would tell them to accompany him to the house of the lady who was a living martyr. He would ask about her welfare, rest for awhile and then offer supplications to Allaah, the High, for her well being and return. Allaah subhanna wa ta’alaa revealed to His beloved Messenger salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam that Umm Waraaqaah radiallaahu ‘anhaa would die the death of a martyr in her own home. Nobody could understand how this would take place with her sitting in her house, but they were sure it would definitly happen, as this news had been given by their truthful Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam.

Umm Waraqaah radiallaahu ‘anhaa herself was awaiting every moment to see how this auspicious event, which would be the fulfillment of her greatest dream, would take place. She waited patiently, for it would give her eternal life and a place in Paradise. When would it take place? How exactly would it take place? What shape would it take? How would it be possible to become a martyr sitting in the house? Lossed in these thoughts she passed her nights and her days. The Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam passed. Abu Bakr Siddique radiallaahu ‘anhu succeeded and he also passed; ‘Umaar Farooq radiallaahu ‘anhu became the Khalifa.

Umm Waraqaah radiallaahu ‘anhaa had two slaves working for her, a girl and a man. She told them that after her death they would be free. One day they got together and decided that they were tired of waiting for this old lady to die. The planned to kill her in her sleep and escape to freedom. They were so tempted by the thought of freedom that they forgot to consider their future as well as their life in the Aakhiraah.

In the dead of night as Umm Waraqah radiallaahu ‘anhaa lay in a deep sleep, they killed her, covered her body with a sheet and crept away from the house silently. As day broke and the sun came up, the neighbours missed the sound of the beautiful recitation of the Noble Qu’raan by Umm Waraqaah radiallaahu ‘anhaa which used to fill the air early in the dawn. When they entered the house they were shocked to see her lying in the sleep of death. Then they saw that both the slaves were missing. They realized that they must be criminals. ‘Umaar ibn al-Khattaab radiallaahu ‘anhu ordered that people should be sent out to search for them. Finally, they were found hiding. When they were brought before the Khalifa in court, they admitted their guilt and were put to death.

Thus the Prophet salAllaahu ‘alaihi wa salaam was proven right, that Umm Waraqaah radiallaahu ‘anhaa died the death of a martyr in her own home, and attained Jannah.

Verily, the pious will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers. In a seat of truth, near the Omnipotent King (Allaah, the One, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour) – 54:54-55

Jihad Against the Self

January 18, 2010 1 comment

Jihâd Against the Self

“Jihâd (striving) against the soul has four stages:

Firstly: To strive in learning guidance and the religion of truth, without which there will be no success. Indeed, there can be no true happiness, nor any delight in this world and in the Herefater, except through it.

Secondly: Striving to act upon what has been learnt, since knowledge without action will not benefit, rather it will cause harm.

Thirdly: Striving to invite others towards it and to teach those who do not know, otherwise he may be considered from those who hide what Allâh has revealed of guidance and clear explanation. Such knowledge will neither benefit, nor save a person from the punishment of Allâh.

Fourthly: Striving to be patient and persevering against those who oppose this da’wah (call) to Allâh and those who seek to cause harm – patiently bearing all these hardships for the sake of Allâh.

When these four stages are completed then such a person is considered to be amongst the Rabbâniyyûn. The Salaf were agreed that a Scholar does not deserve the title of Rabbânî until he recognises and knows the truth, acts upon it, and teaches it to others. So whosoever has knowledge, acts upon it, and teaches this knowledge to others, is considered from the Rabbâniyyûn.” [Zâdul-Ma’âd fi Hadî Khayril-’Ibâd (pp.9-11)]

Weapons of Mass Distinction – Sayings of the Salaf

December 1, 2009 Leave a comment

Abû Ishâq [Al-Fazârî] states:

The enemy was never able to stand up to the Companions of Allâh’s Messenger – Allâh’s praise and peace be upon him, so when the news of the defeat of the Romans came to Heraclius at Antioch he asked [his people], “Woe to you, tell me about these people who fight you, are they not humans like you?” They replied, “Indeed, they are.” He asked, “So are you more in number or them?” They replied, “We outnumber them greatly in all places.” He said, “So how is it that you are defeated whenever you meet them [in battle].” A senior and esteemed elder amongst them replied, “Because they stand in prayer at night, fast during the day, fulfill their agreements and promises, enjoin what is right and forbid what is evil, they are fair and just amongst themselves; and because we drink wine, fornicate, commit sin, break our agreements, steal, oppress and do injustice, enjoin the committing of what angers Allâh and forbid what pleases Allâh the Mighty and Majestic, and we cause evil and corruption in the land.” Heraclius said, “You are the one who has told me the truth.”

Re:What do the Scholars say about Anwar al-Awlaki? 37 Minutes ago
Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abdil Wahhaab al-’Aqeel (Assistant professor of ‘Aqeedah in the faculty of Dawah and Fundamentals of Deen in the Islamic University of Madinah) commented upon these statements by saying:

The one who spoke these words is misguided and upon the path of the Khawaarij, those who attack the Muslim leaders. It is obligatory upon the Muslims to be cautious of him and warn against his ideology. The virtue of this blessed country and the effort of its rulers to act upon the Book and the Sunnah to the best of their ability is well-known by every person who has sound intellect and is just. No one rejects this except a misguided liar.
