This classic work consists of 170 points on different aspects of the Muslim creed, with quotes from the the Qur.aan, the Sunnah, the Companions and later scholars.  The author was an imaam who stood firm in defending this creed in the face of  enmity and opposition from the people of innovation, may Allaah have mercy on him.

01 Introduction by Shaikh al-Fawzaan

02 Introduction of Imaam al Barbahaaree

03 Islaam is the Sunnah; Adhering to the Jamaa’ah (the united body of Muslims upon the Truth)

04 The Foundation upon which the Jamaa’ah is built is the Companions of Muhammad sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam

05 The Affairs (of the Religion) have been Made Clear

06 The Sunnah and the Jamaa’ah have Safeguarded all of the Religion; Knowledge of the Religion is what Comes from Allaah and His Messenger sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam

07 Do not Follow Anything Based upon your Desires

08 Every Innovation (in the Religion) is Misguidance

09 Beware of Small Matters which have been Newly Introduced (into the Religion)

10 Examine Carefully the Speech of Everyone you Hear from

11 Leaving the Correct Path Occurs in Two Ways

12 A Servant’s Islaam is not Complete until he Submits to the Truth; Desires are not to be followed regarding the Sunnah

13 Debating Throws Doubt into the Heart; Speculative Speech about Allaah is a Newly Invented Matter

14 Allaah is The First and The Last; His Ascent, His Knowledge; No one says ‘Why?’ about His Attributes

15 The Qur.aan is the Speech of Allaah

16 Seeing Allaah on the Day of Resurrection

17 The Balance upon which Good and Evil will be Weighed; The Punishment of the Grave, Munkar and Nakeer

18 The Hawd (Pool) and the Intercession on the Day of Resurrection

19 The Bridge over Hell, Belief in the Prophets and Angels

20 Paradise and the Fire are True and Real, both are Already Created

21 Al-Maseehud-Dajjaal; The Descent of ‘Eesaa  `alayhissalaam; the Defintion of Eemaan

22 The Best of This Ummah after its Prophet is  Aboo Bakr then ‘Umar then Uthmaan

23 We Mention the Virtues of the Companions and Remain Silent about their Mistakes

24 To Hear and Obey the Rulers

25 Hajj and Jihaad are to be Carried out under the Leadership of the Ruler;  Khilaafah remaining within the Quraysh

26 Whover Rebels against a Muslim Ruler is one of the Khawaarij;  It is Not Permissible to Fight the Ruler nor to Rebel against him

27 The Permissibility of Fighting Khawaarij who Attack the Muslims; No Obedience to a Human in Disobedience to Allaah; We do not Bear Witness that any Muslim is in Paradise or in Hell; A Servant may Repent from Any Sin

28 Stoning is True and Correct; Wiping over the Leather Socks is the Sunnah

29 Shortening the Prayer when Travelling is the Sunnah; Fasting when Travelling; Praying in Broad Trousers

30 Hypocrisy is to Display Islaam whilst Hiding Disbelief

31 The World is the Place of Eemaan and Islaam; Muslims and Believers with regard to Rulings; We do not Bear Witness that any of them are True and Perfect Believers

32 None of the Muslims leave IslaamUnless they Reject an Aayah from the Qur.aan or any Narrations from the Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam

33 Anyone who Explains anything from the Narrations according to his Desires or Rejects them is a Jahmee

34 Whoever Claims to have Seen Allaah is a Disbeliever; Reflecting Deeply about Allaah is an Innovation; All Creatures only Act by Allaah’s Permission; Allaah’s Knowledge

35 There is No Marriage except with a Guardian (Walee); If a Man Divorces his Wife Three Times She is Forbidden for him

36 The Blood of a Muslim may not be Spilt except in Three Cases

37 Everything which Allaah has Decreed to End will End

38 Retribution on the Day of Resurrection between all of Creation; Making Actions Purely and Sincerely for Allaah; Being Pleased with the Decree of Allaah

39 Having Patience with the Judgement of Allaah; Takbeers of the Funeral Prayer

40 The (Dead) People of the Well Heard the Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam on the Day of Badr; Reward for the Ill; Reward for the Martyr; Children Feel Pain

41 No-one will Enter Paradise except by the Mercy of Allaah, Allaah is not Unjust, He is not to be Questioned about what He Does

42 If you Hear a Man Rejecting any of the Narrations of Allaah’s Messenger sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam then Doubt his Islaam;  The Qur.aan Needs the Sunnah more than the Sunnah needs the Qur.aan

43 (Unwarranted) Speech, Argumentation and Disputation about Pre-decree is Forbidden

44 Allaah’s Messenger sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was Taken by Night through the Heavens, Came to the Throne and Spoke to Allaah;  The Souls of the Martyrs, the Believers and the Disbelievers

45 The Deceased is Made to Sit Up in his Grave and is Questioned about Faith; Allaah Spoke to Moosaa;  Evil and Good Occur by the Pre-Decree of Allaah

46 The Intellect;  Allaah has Given Excellence to some Servants over Others in the Religion and Worldly Affairs and has Done so Justly

47 It is Not Permissible to Hide Sincere Advice from any of the Muslims in Matters of the Religion; Allaah Hears, Sees and Knows, His Two Hands are Outstretched

48 Tidings given when one Dies; Seeing Allaah; Kalaam and its People have caused Heresy, Disbelief, Doubts, Innovations, Misguidance and Confusion about the Religion; Allaah will Punish the Creation In the Fire

49 The Obligatory Prayers are Five; Zakaah is to be Paid upon …

50 The Testification that None has the Right to be Worshipped Except Allaah and that Muhammad is His Slave and Messenger; There is Nothing to Contradict what Allaah Says; To have Faith in All of the Revealed Laws

51 Buying and Selling in accordance with the Book and the Sunnah is Lawful; A Servant does Not Know in what State he will Die; A Man should not Give up Hope at the Point of Death

52 Allaah showed His Prophet sallAllaahu alaihi wa sallam what was going to Occur to his Ummah; The Ummah will Split into Seventy-Three Sects, All of  them in the Fire except One

53 Splitting and Innovations came about after the Killing of `Uthmaan

54 The Sunnah became a Stranger; Temporary Marriage of Covenience and Marrying a Woman to Make her Lawful for her Previous Husband are Forbidden

55 The Excellence of Banoo Haashim

56 The Scholars Continued Refuting the Jahmiyyah to the Time of the Khilaafah of Banul-`Abbaas

57 Whoever Says his Recital of the Qur.aan is Created is an Innovator; The Ruin of the Jahmiyyah was that they Pondered about the Lord, introducing ‘Why?’ and ‘How?’

58 Some of the Scholars Declared the Jahmee to be a Disbeliever

59 Knowledge of the Sunnah and Jamaa’ah was Wiped Away by the Jahmiyyah; There has Never been any Heresy except from the Ignorant Rabble who Follow Anyone who Calls out Wildly

60 There will not Cease to be a Group of People of the Truth and the Sunnah

61 The Scholar is the One who Follows the Book and the Sunnah;  Whoever Speaks about the Religion without Proof has Overstepped the Limits; The Sunnah is what the Messenger sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam laid down, the Jamaa’ah is what the Companions united upon

62 The Saved Sect, “That which I and my companions are upon”;  Beware of Extremism

63 The Murder of `Uthmaan, There is no Permit for Anyone to do Anything which the Companions were not upon;  Whoever Clings to the Sunnah should be Followed, Helped and Protected

64 The Roots of Bid`ah are Four, from these Seventy Two Innovations Branch off…All of them are Misguided

65 If the People Desisted from Newly Introduced Matters, There Would Not be any Innovation;  A Believer Becoming a Disbeliever

66 Fear Allaah and Take to the Affair as it Originally WasFear Allaah and Take to the Affair as it Originally Was

67 Whoever Contradicts and Rejects Anything from the Sunnah has Rejected All of the Sunnah

68 When Discord (Fighting between the Muslims) Occurs do not Go Out in it, Do Not Fight in it, Do Not Take Part in it, do not Take Sides in it, Nor Incline Towards Either Side

69 Look into the Stars Just Enough to Know the Times of the Prayer, Other than that Leads to Apostacy;  Beware of Looking into Rhetorical Theology;  Stick to the Narrations and People of Narrations

70 Allaah has not been Worshipped with the Like of Fear;  Beware of Sitting with those who Call to Passion and Love and Seclude themselves with Women (the Soofees)

71 Allaah has called all of the creation to worship Him Alone. He favours whom He wishes with Islaam.

72 Witholding about the wars which took place between the Companions.

73 The wealth of a Muslim is not permissible to take except for that which he gives willingly …And means of earning whose correctness is clear to you are permissible, except for that whose corruptness becomes apparent …

74 And the 5 daily prayers are permissible behind anyone except a Jahmee … And to have eemaan that Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, may Allaah have mercy upon both of them, are within the apartment of ‘Aaishah radiyAllaahu’anhaa, along with Allaah’s Messenger sallAllaahu’alaihiwasallam …

75 Ordering good and forbidding the evil is an obligation…

76 Greetings of salaam are to be given to all of Allaah’s worshippers; Whoever abandons the Jumu’ah or congregational prayer … ;

77 Whoever prays behind an Imaam and does not follow him, there is no prayer for him; Ordering the good and forbidding the evil … ; The blameless Muslim … ; Everything (some) worshippers claim as hidden knowledge (‘ilm-ul-baatin) …

78 A woman who gives herself in marriage to a man … ; If you see a man criticising the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah sAllaahu’alaihiwasallam

This website is dedicated to providing recorded lectures and classes of the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah for free download. This website is made with the desire to provide authentic Islaamic lectures. Who is Shaykh Muhammad bin Ramzaan Al-Haajiree – hafidhahullaah?

Biography

Shaykh Muhammad bin Ramzan Al-Hajiri

Originally compiled by Naif Al-Mutairi (sahab.net), translated by Abu Hamza Al-Hindi, added notes by Abu Afnaan, final rendition by Akram An-Najdee as-Saylaanee

Please notify us of any translation discrepancies

Shaykh Muhammad Ramzan Al-Hajiri

His Lineage:

He is Shaykh Muhammad bin Ramzaan Aal-Taamee Al-Haajiree -hafidhahullaah-. The Shaykh lives in Jubail, Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

His Education:

Shaykh Muhammad bin Ramzaan Al-Haajiree holds a Master’s Degree in Islaamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) from the Imaam Muhammad bin Sa’ood Univeristy in Saudi Arabia. The Shaykh has studied with many of the major scholars of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa’ah and his teachers and Shaykhs include:

  • Shaykh ‘Abdullaah bin ‘Abdul-’Azeez bin Baaz (for 12 years)
  • Shaykh Muhammad bin Saaleh Al-’Uthaymeen
  • Shaykh Muhammad bin Amaan Al-Jaamee
  • Shaykh Rabee’ bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee
  • Shaykh Saalih Al-Atram
  • Shaykh Hamaad Al-Ansaaree

And many more. I (Abu Afnaan) once asked the Shaykh about his Shuyookh and he responded that they were more than two hundred in number. Shaykh Muhammad has been visited by many of the other scholars, such as:

  • Shaykh Muhammad Naasiruddeen Al-Albaanee
  • Shaykh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaamee
  • Shaykh Saalih bin Sa’ad as-Suhaymee

  • Shaykh ‘Ubayd bin ‘Abdillaah Al-Jaabiree
  • Shaykh Wasee’Ullaah ‘Abbaas Al-Hindee
  • Shaykh Falaah bin Ismaa’eel Al-Mandakaar

Due to the Shaykh’s humility, it is difficult to get him to talk about himself as he is always advising his students to “take knowledge from the Kibaar (major scholars).”

His Classes:

For many years, Shaykh Muhammad has been giving continuous classes, of which the following books were/are taught:

  • ‘Umdatul Ahkaam (Hadeeth/Fiqh)

Current Classes

Shaykh Muhammad’s schedule is filled with beneficial courses:

Saturday:

The Shaykh teaches Ma’aarij Al-Qabool of Al-Haafidh Al-Hakamee and Tafseer Ibn Katheer at Masjid ‘Utbah bin Ghazwaan in Dammaam

Sunday:

The Shaykh teaches Sharh Rasaa’il of Imaam Muhammad bin ‘Abdul-Wahhaab (and now Kitaab At-Tawheed) at Jaami’ ‘Umar bin ‘Abdul-Azeez in Jubail

Monday:

The Shaykh is currently teaching Muqaddimah ar-Risaalah of Ibn Abee Zayd Al-Qayrawaanee. He’s completed 40 An Nawawiya, Kitab Al Tawheed, Sharh As Sunna, and Fadl Islam. These classes are translated into English. These classes are done in the Shaykh’s home in Jubail.

Thursday:

The Shaykh teaches five books after Fajr until roughly 10 AM at Masjid Suraqah bin Maalik in Jubail. The books taught are: Tafsir Ibn Katheer, Bulugh Al Maram (Fiqh and Hadith), Al-Sharee’ah of Imam Al-Aajooree (Aqeedah), Umdatul Fiqh (of Imam Al-Maqdasee) (Fiqh), Zaad Al Ma’ad (Fiqh and Seerah).

In addition:

The Shaykh has weekly classes in Khafji and Nair’iyyah and monthly classes in Qaysooma and Al-Ahsaa. Within the past year the Shaykh has traveled to Morocco, Turkey, Europe, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Oman, Emirates, and other places around the world giving Da’wah and classes to the people. In December of 2010, the Shaykh traveled to Morocco with Shaykh Saaleh as-Suhaymee to participate in the Dawra (Seminar) entitled, “Dawrah Imaam Maalik bin Anas -Rahimahullaah-,” wherein he taught the Muwatta of Imaam Maalik and the Risaalah of Ibn Abee Zayd amongst beneficial lectures. On some of these trips, the Shaykh has traveled with the likes of Shaykh Wasee’ullaah Al-’Abbaas. I (Abu Afnaan) have personally seen a letter sent by Shaykh Wasee’ullaah Al-’Abbaas in which he gives Shaykh Muhammad ‘Ijaaza in Sahih Al Bukhari which Shaykh Muhammad read sections from it to Shaykh Wasee’ullaah, a part of which was on a plane, exemplifying the Shaykh’s dedication to seeking and spreading knowledge.

The statements of some of the ‘Ulemaa for Shaykh Muhammad

Shaykh Ahmad Al-Najmi, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked about Shaykh Muhammad. Below is the translated transcript of the conversation:

Q: “O our Shaykh, one wants to know what you know of the following Callers (meaning those who call to the Salafi da’wah); Shaykh Abdul Rahman Muhiyuddin. Do you know him O Shaykh?”
A: “Who?”
Q: “Shaykh AbdulRahman Muhiyuddin”
A: “No.”
Q: “Muhammad Ibn AbdulWahhab Al-Aqeel?”
A: “Muhammad Ibn AbdulWahhab Al-Aqeel is well known, he is from Ahl alSunnah insha Allaah”
Q: “Shaykh Abdul Salam Al-Suhaimi?”
A: “ah, ah”
Q: “Shaykh Abdul Salam Al-Suhaimi?”
A: “Abdul Salam Al-Suhaimi, he is well known, he is from Ahl alSunnah insha Allaah.”
Q: “Shaykh Ali Ibn Ghazi Al-Tuwaijiri?”
A: “I don”t know him.”
Q: “Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Ramzan Al-Hajri?”
A: “He is from the heads of Ahl AlSunnah.”
Q: “Jazakum Allaahu khairan.”

Naif Al-Mutairi – one of the Shaykh’s students- mentioned:

I narrate to you a conversation of one our brothers who telephoned Sheikh Ubaid Al-Jaabiree -may Allaah protect him- seeking a fatwa about an issue. And the Sheikh (Al-Jabiree) was busy, so he asked our brother, “Where are you from?” He said, “From Al-Jubail.” So the Shaykh (Al-Jabiree) said, “With you is Muhammad Ibn Ramzan, so call him and ask him.”
And similarly when Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Hadi Al-Madkhalee -may Allaah protect him- visited us in Al-Jubail, I was with the Sheikh in the same car traveling to Dammam in which he praised our Sheikh (Muhammad Ibn Ramzan) and his efforts of da”wah in the Province.

Where is Allah? Debate between SheikhAlbanee and Azhari Sheikh

March 10, 2011 1 comment

The following is taken from trinimuslim forums , which was posted by brother Musa Millington, May Allah reward him.

~~~
This is a debate between the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah (who believe that Allah is above everything) and the Maturidis/Asharis who do not believe thus. It also deals with their false claims about Ahlus Sunnah.
Debate about where is Allah
This is a bit technical but inshallah all of us will understand by Allah’s guidance.
Azhari Shaikh: You (the Salafis) have put Allah in a place
Shaikh Al Albani: May Allah be raised above this! This is a great lie .
The Shaikh then said: Then a research between myself and him came about
I (Shaikh Al Albani) said to him: Oh teacher! is place (Makaan) something present or absent?
Azhari Shaikh: No, it is something present
I said: And is what is present limited or unlimited?
Azhari Shaikh: Limited
I said: Ok let us research now: we are on the earth, what is above us?
Azhari Shaikh: The ifrst heaven.
I said: Until the seventh?
Azhari Shaikh: Until the 7th
I said: And above the seventh?
Azhari Shaikh: The throne.
I said: And above the throne what is there?
Azhari Shaikh: Above the throne are the Karuubeeyuun!
I said: And what are there Karuubeeyuun?
Azhari Shaikh: These are angels.
I said: Do you know a verse of the Qur’an that says that there are angels called Karuubeeyuun?
Azhari Shaikh: Nope
I said: Is there a Hadeeth from the Messenger (Salallahu alaihi wa sallam) that says this?
He said: Nope
I said: Then where did you get this belief from?
He said: O teacher! We leant this in Azhar
I said: O teacher! didn’t you leanr in Azhar that belief is taken (as they claim) only from an evidence that is sure and affirmed and sure in evidence, they build their belief upon this, that beliefs are not taken from an authentic Hadeeth except if it is Mutawatir (has ten narrators or above in every part of the chain)?
He said: Yes
I said: Not a verse, not a Hadeeth Mutawatir, not even a Hadeeth Aahad!! So where did you’ll get this belief from? In any case this is not the point, say that there are angels above the throne called Karabeeyuun: above these angels what is there?
He said: That is all, all is ended.
I said: Is there any place there?
He said: No
I said: We say that Allah is above the creation, therefore he is not in a place, because place (Makaan) is something created and limited, therefore he is not in a place, therefore when we describe Allah as he described himself why do you explain this belief and this statement which is contrary to what it is? Firstly: Your understanding is that the creation is limited, therefore why do you say: Allah is in a place according to these Mujassimah (those who make Allah similar to his creation) who are called Salaf As Salih, then you explain it contrary to the verses? Why don’t you submit your beliefs according to the evidences that are Mutawatir? Even some of the Imams of Hadeeth like Haafiz Adh Dhahabi wrote a small book which is specific to this which is called: Al ‘Uluuw Lil “alee Al ghaffar.
End…
Notes: Allah is described as having ‘Uluuw Al Mutlaq. Meaning that he is above everything. However this doesn’t mean that he is in a place. Because of the fact that Makaan or place is something created and limited and Allah is above his creation and above any limitations.
However many claim that the Salafis say that Allah is in a place which is false.
False claims
They say that the Salafis (Ahlus Sunnah) but Allah in a direction
They say: You put Allah in a direction.
We say to them: So you mean by direction something that is present and created? Or do you mean by it what is outside of creation?
If they mean by this something that is present other than Allah then it is something created and Allah is above his creation and seperate from it.. but if what is meant by direction as something that is absent, meaning that it is above the creation then there is nothing except Allah alone that is above the creation.
Listen to Shaykh_Saalim_at-Taweel’s Beneficial points on the Benefits of talking about Allah being above the Creation!
[May Allah reward brother Talha Ibn Shahid who posted this audio]
