Ahlul-Bid’ah’s attack on Ahlus-Sunnah (the Salafees) for implementing the Sharee’ah is in reality an attack on the Sharee’ah itself, and an indirect accusation of Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)!

Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillaah wa salatu wa salaamu ‘ala rasulullaah
Amma-ba’d

Undoubtedly, accusing Allaah and His Messenger – directly or indirectly – is a characteristic of the disbelievers and hypocrites.

As such, this kind of deception and indirect accusation of Allaah is exposed and warned against in the Qur`an and the Sunnah.

In the Qur`an, you will find that Allaah, Ta’aala, said:

قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّه ُُ لَيَحْزُنُكَ الَّذِي يَقُولُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لاَ يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَكِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ

We know indeed the grief which their words cause you (O Muhammad): it is not you that they deny, but it is the Verses (the Qur`an) of Allaah that the Dhaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers) deny. (Al-An’aam, ayah 33)

And from the Sunnah, you will find in an authentic hadeeth narrated by Ubay Ibn Ka’b (radiallaahu Ta’aala ‘anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: Do not curse the wind, but when you see that which you dislike, say, ‘Oh Allaah: we ask You for what is good in this wind, what is good in what it bears, and what is good in what it has been commanded to do. We seek refuge with You from what is evil in this wind, in what it contains, and in what it has been commanded to do.’ (At-Tirmidhee)

In his Concise Commentary on Kitab at-Tawheed, Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) explained that the wind is a compliant creation of Allaah; the wind does what Allaah commands it. Shaikh Fawzaan said: “Thus whoever curses wind is regarded to have cursed Allaah, and this indicates one’s dissatisfaction with His Decree.” And Shaikh Fawzaan explained in the previous chapter: “Dissatisfaction (with the Qadr) is a typical characteristic of the hypocrites.”

Ahlul-Bid’ah – due to the malice and disease in their hearts – have many deceptions, tricks, lies and false claims by which they seek to deceive the Muslims, desiring to lure them away from The Straight Path, The Saved Sect.

Among these despicable tricks is attacking and slandering the people of truth for implementing the Sharee’ah, with the intent to accuse the sharee’ah itself and replace it or parts of it, desiring to lure whom they are able to lure to join their invented methodology – in clear opposition to the legislated methodology that Allaah revealed to His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and commanded all of mankind and jinn to follow!

This is an old trick that disbelievers and hypocrites have been committing since the time of Nooh (‘alayhi salaam), and Ahlul-Bid’ah of this Ummah have been engaging in such deception since after the death of the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

As student Abu Dihyah Dawood Adeeb (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) relayed: “Nooh’s wife calling Nooh (‘alayhi salaam) ‘crazy’ is a direct criticism of Nooh (‘alayhi salaam) and an indirect criticism of Allaah and an indirect criticism of the message of Nooh.”

When asked why the Raafidah – who emerged during the caliphate of ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (radiallaahu ‘anhu) – attack the companions of Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam),  shaikhul-Islaam Ibnu Taymeeyah (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) said: “The Rafidah revile the companions and their narrations, but the inner reality of the matter is that they desire revilement of the Messengership (itself).”

Likewise, the Jews and Christians do this and the Soofi, Deobandi, Barelwi, and Raafidi grave-worshippers likewise in their attack of Imam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) who didn’t come with anything new but rather relayed what was in the Qur`an and Sunnah. Rather than directly attack the Qur`an and Sunnah and expose themselves as opposers of revelation, the grave-worshippers deceptionally attack(ed) those who relay(ed) the message. As for the Jews and Christians and other disbelievers and polytheists, then they desire that the Muslims relinquish this tremendous matter of singling out Allaah with all acts of worship, in addition to their desire that the Muslims compromise with them. [1]

Ahlul-Bid’ah will go to great lengths to push forward their falsehood.

Pay attention to the following thinly-veiled accusation of Allaah and His Messenger and the Sharee’ah!

Question: “Some people mention that those who propogate (the manhaj) of hearing and obeying rulers is none other than disobedience, and (those who propogate) advising them secretly are extremist in their obedience (to the rulers) and this action of their is excessive with regards to the rulers.”

Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah) answered: “This is accusation of the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam); rather it is accusing Allaah.

Allaah (Jall wa ‘Ala) said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ

Oh you who believe! Obey Allaah and obey the Messenger and those in authority over you… (An-Nisa`, ayah 59)

The Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: Hear and obey even if he strikes your back and takes your wealth.

Likewise he (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: Whoever obeys the ameer (the ruler) has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys the ameer (the ruler) has disobeyed me.

So in this case [with this wisdom-less rationale included in the question], the Messenger has excesiveness with the ruler too. We ask Allaah for well-being. Na’am.”

Shaikh Ahmad Bazmool (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said:

“…As an example, Shaikh Rabee’ [bin Hadee al-Madkhalee] (hafidhahullah Ta’aala) has about four to five students who are known to be from the students of the Shaikh Rabee’, (those) who know the specific affairs (and/or positions) of the Shaikh regarding different matters and the like, due to their constant accompanying of the Shaikh. Therefore attacking them (for being with the Shaikh and that which they relay from the Shaikh) would be considered attacking the Shaikh…”

Shaikh Ahmad Bazmool also said:

“For the one to make a statement against Shaikh Rabee’ [bin Hadee al-Madkhalee] is foolishness. Rather, if anyone makes a statement against Shaikh Rabee’ [then] he has removed himself from Salafiyyah in totality…

Just like the people used to say in the time of Imam Ahmad, who was a man known as Imaam of Ahlus-Sunnah… if one made a statement against him, he was looked at as not being one of the people of the Sunnah [but] as being one of the people of desires…

Was it because Imam Ahmad was seen to be the Sunnah himself? No, of course not! But he (Imam Ahmad) was looked at as one who was a carrier of the Sunnah… He was looked (at) as someone who was a defender of the Sunnah.

So when we find the likes of so and so saying something against Shaikh Rabee’, then the case is the same as someone saying something against Imam Ahmad. Because Shaikh Rabee’ is known for defending the Sunnah…”

The Admin of SalafiTalk.Com added the following:

“The statement narrated and translated from Shaykh Bazmool is in accordance with the principle that ‘whoever attacks the carrier of the message is in fact intending the message itself,’ and it is from this angle that is said that the Raafidah – by attacking the Sahaabah – actually intend to attack the religion of Islaam, and whatever is similar to that. Similarly, those who attack the great Scholars of the Sunnah and the Salafi Manhaj, such as Shaykh Ibn Baz, Shaykh al-Albaanee, and Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, indeed they intend to attack the Sunan and the Usool of the Salafi Manhaj that do not agree with their desires.

In a like fashion, those who attack and wage war against Shaykh Rabee’ it is not because of his person, but rather because of his message, in that he defended the methodology of the Prophets in calling to Allaah, defended the ‘Aqeedah of Islaam, and defended the Usool of the Salafi manhaj. Hence, those who speak against the Shaykh are in reality speaking against what he is carrying and defending, these are the ones intended in Shaykh Bazmool’s statement above.

As for any person besides the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) being subject to criticism for being in error in a religious matter, then there is no one who is infallible but the Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and from that angle, all of the Mashaayikh of Ahl al-Sunnah, and their Imaams, they can be subject to criticism, and this is an established principle with the people of truth. And the one who directs criticism to another, from this perspective, on account of a slip and mistake, then such a person cannot be said to have left the Sunnah and Salafiyyah because of that – in and of it itself.”

Another recent example of this specific trickery of Ahlul-Bid’ah indirectly attacking Allaah’s Sharee’ah – waging war against the truth – is the chicanery of the refuted Ikhwanee Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi (Goldie), who was declared a Mubtadi’ (an Innovator) by Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmee (rahimahullaah Ta’aala).

Abu Usamah is a follower of the deviant Kharijee off-shoot Ikhwanul Muslimeen (and its off-shoot Ihyaa at-Turaath), and he sits with them, aids them, calls others to them, praises them, translates for them, recommends them and accomodates them, despite the fact that Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: The Curse of Allaah is upon the one who accomodates an Innovator. [Muslim]

From Point 170 of Imam Barbaharee’s Sharh-us-Sunnah: Al-Fudayl ibn ‘Iyaad said, “Do not sit with an innovator for I fear that curses will descend upon you.” In explaining this point, Shaikh Muhammad bin Ramzaan Al-Haajiree (hafidhahullaah) said: “Because the La’na (the curse) – as comes in the hadeeth – comes to the person who helps, assists and accomodates the person of bid’ah. So then what about the person who is an innovator, the one who innovates something new into the religion. And this is why the author says the curse will descend upon you.”

Abu Usamah has been caught speaking ill of the sahaaba more than once – including his revilement of the best Sahabi Abu Bakr As-Sideeq (radiallaahu Ta’aala ‘anhu). In addition, Abu Usamah cursed the Sa’udia rulers from the minbar, slandered Shaikh Rabee’, mocked Salafees for giving importance to issues of Manhaj, has been caught in a staggering amount of lies and deceit, and has sadly opposed the ‘aqeedah and manhaj of Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) in numerous matters. Anybody with two eyes or two ears and a sincere heart inclined toward the truth will see or hear proof of this here and here and here and here and here and here and here and here.

This Mubtadi’ Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi declared that he will not follow Abu Bakr in everything because he “saw and read things.”[2] Subhan-Allaah! Allaah, Subhanahu wa Ta’aala, commanded with the following of Abu Bakr (radiallahu Ta’aala ‘anhu), and Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) commanded with the following of Abu Bakr, but Abu Usamah saw things that Allaah, The All-Seeing, The All-Knowing, did not see? Never! Subhan-Allaah! Allaah is free from any imperfection! Aoodhubillaah!

When informed of Abu Usamah’s statement, Shaikh ‘Ubaid al-Jaabiree (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) took refuge in Allaah, and refuted Abu Usamah, and said Abu Usamah’s statement was “a revilement of Abu Bakr.” [Click here for more detail.]

Abu Usamah, who had previously reviled another Sahaabi, tried to justify his position by saying Abu Bakr was not infallible, a statement of truth by which he intends falsehood. Notice his attempt to equate himself and the rest of those like him to the sahaaba, as the Khawaarij infamously do with their deceptional statement “They (meaning the sahaba) are men, and we are men.” Ponder that under this deceptional statement of the Khawaarij, Allaah’s Prophets and their enemies fit.

Of course, the difference between the sahaaba and the rest of us is like the difference between the heavens and the earth. Not for the twinkling of an eye could we ever become like Abu Bakr As-Sideeq (radiallaahu Ta’aala ‘anhu).

Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:: The best generation is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. (Bukharee, Muslim)

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (radiallaahu ‘anhu) who said: Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Do not abuse my Companions! Do not abuse my Companions! For by the One in Whose Hand is my soul! If one of you were to spend the like of Uhud in gold in charity, it would not reach the hands-full of one of them, nor even a half of it.” [Muslim]

The Messenger (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: When my companions are mentioned, then withhold. [As-Saheeha no.34]

The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) also said: Love for the Ansaar is a sign of Eeman, and hatred for the Ansaar is a sign of hypocrisy. [al-Bukhaaree (no. 17, 3573), Muslim (no. 74)]

And Allaah revealed that the only way mankind and jinn in this Ummah can enter Paradise is by following Abu Bakr and the sahaaba (radiallaahu ‘anhum):

And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhaajiroon and the Ansaar and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allaah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success. (At-Tawbah, ayah 100)

Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) commanded: Follow the two who will come after me: Abu Bakr and ‘Umar!

On the authority of ‘Umar: If the Eemaan of Abu Bakr was weighed against the Eemaan of the people of the earth, the Eemaan of Abu Bakr would outweigh the others.[Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in al-Jamia` lashu’ab al-Eemaan (1:18) and its narrators are trustworthy.] [For more virtues of Abu Bakr, click here]

In addition to the above texts, pay careful attention to the next hadeeth in Saheeh Bukharee concerning what Ameer-ul-Mu`mineen ‘Umar ibn Al-Khataab (radiallaahu Ta’aala ‘anhu) said:

Narrated Abu Waa`il: (One day) I sat along with Shaiba on the chair inside the Ka’ba. He (Shaiba) said, “No doubt, ‘Umar sat at this place and said, ‘I intended not to leave any yellow (i.e. gold) or white (i.e. silver) (inside the Ka’ba) undistributed.’ I said (to ‘Umar), ‘But your two companions (i.e. the Prophet and Abu Bakr) did not do so.’ ‘Umar said: They are the two persons whom I always follow.’ “ [Bukhaaree; The Book of Hajj]

Subhan-Allaah! So Abu Bakr was good enough for ‘Umar ibn Al-Khataab to always follow, and good enough that Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta’aala selected Abu Bakr to accompany His Messenger (‘alayhi salaam) as His Messenger’s greatest and most beloved and closest companion, but he’s not good enough for this Mubtadi` Abu Usamah to follow?!

By Allaah, Abu Usamah is astray leading others astray. Hypocrisy is feared for individuals who revile the Sahaaba.

Read what Imam at-TaHawee (rahimahullaah) said about the one who speaks ill of the Sahaaba (radiallaahu Ta’aala ‘anhum). “…He who says bad things about the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) or his companions or his wives or his children, then he is a Munaffiq (hypocrite)! And he is an enemy to Islaam!

No doubt about that!

No doubt about that!

Rather, if he does it intentionally or unintentionally, he is not to be excused. Because, he is talking (ill) about people who brought us the Book of Allaah and the people who relayed to us the Sunnah of Mustafa (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). So he does not seek to find fault – in reality – with those who are relaying it (the companions), but he seeks to find fault with the Qur`an and the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)…”

So the one who seeks to find fault with the companions (radiallaahu ‘anhum), he is in fact seeking to find fault with the Qur`an and Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)!

Shaikh al-‘Uthaimeen (rahimahullaah) said, in his sharh of al-‘Aqeedah al-Wasitiyyah:

“The companions are not infallible from sins. It is possible for them to have committed sins, as it is possible for others. However, they are the worthiest of forgiveness due to the following reasons:

1. Fulfillment of Eeman and righteous deeds.

2. Precedence in accepting Islaam and being meritorious, as it is established by the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) that they are the best of generations.

3. Venerable actions, such as the Battle of Badr and the pledge of Ridwaan, which were not performed by others besides them.

4. Repentance from sin. Repentance removes what came before it.

5. The good deeds, which wipe away the bad deeds.

6. The tribulations that afflicted them. Tribulations expiate sins.

7. The supplication of the believers for them. [Radiallaahu ‘anhum]

8. The intercession of the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), of which they are the most deserving from amongst mankind.”

Likewise, Abu Usamah’s recent attack on Salafi Publications (Spubs) and slandering of them by saying they have a “corrupt methodology” is nothing other than Abu Usamah attacking the scholars and wickedly accusing the scholars of having a “corrupt methodology” since Salafi Publications relays the work of the scholars and is widely known and praised for this (may Allaah preserve it and its people). And all Praise is for Allaah. And we do not purify anyone above Allaah.

Imam At-TaHaawee also said:

“Don’t mention a scholar who spent his whole life with the Book of Allaah, Subhanahu wa Ta’aala, and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) except in a beautiful way. And whoever mentions them with evil, then he is Not upon the path of Muhammad (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) – the path that would lead one to Jannah. He is upon some other path.”

Speaking ill of Salafee Scholars (Ashabul-Hadeeth) is from Zandaqah!

Student Abu Uwais (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) said:

“It was mentioned to Abu Qatila [the topic of] “Ashabul-Hadeeth,” and he said, ‘Ashabul-Hadeeth are an evil people.’ So Abu ‘Abdullaah [Imam Ahmad, rahimahullaah] got up, shaking out his thobe, and said: “Zindeeq!, Zindeeq!, Zindeeq!, Zindeeq!,” and kept on saying it until he entered his house.

How can Ashabul-Hadeeth be evil people, and they’re on the Sunnah? How can they be evil and they’re on the guidance of the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and following his example? They’re the ones who know the Deen of Allaah, Tabarak wa Ta’aala. [They are] most like the tabi’een, most like the Sahaaba, and most like the Prophets (‘alaihim i salaam) who existed before the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). These people are most like them. And you’re going to say [about them] ‘evil people?’

That statement there indicates that you’re not on it [Salafiyyah], you don’t understand what’s happening. So Imam Ahmad called him a Zindeeq! – [one who] intends to destroy Islaam from the inside.

Why else would you talk about Ahlul-Hadeeth, and everybody else in the world is safe from your tongue? Why else would you pick on those who are inheritors of the Sunnah who restore the ‘Aqeedah to its proper position? [Those] who call to Tawheed night and day? Why else would you talk about them?

You have nothing else to do? You have no one else to talk about? Zindeeq! And there are a lot of Zanadiqah around here nowadays. They have [no one] else to talk about but the Salafees. And Wallaahi, the Salafees are a mercy for the people, if they but knew.”

Rather, this accusation of the Mubtadi’ Abu Usamah is an indirect accusation of Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), since the Salafee scholars relay the legislation that Allaah revealed to His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). [3] As the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “…The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets, for the Prophets did not leave behind Dinars and Dirhams, but they left behind knowledge…” And the true Salafee scholars inherit this knowledge, and relay it, and support it, and defended it – not fearing the blame of the blamers!

So this trick of the lying Abu Usamah is the same old trick of Ahlul-Bid’ah who attack those who relay the message, by which they intend to attack the message itself! The scholars relay the message that Allaah revealed to His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and therefore Abu Usamah accusing Spubs of having a “corrupt methodology” is an indirect criticism of the methodoogy that Allaah revealed to His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) as found in the Qur`an and Sunnah.

Student Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) exposed Abu Usamah (with abundant audio from the careless Abu Usamah himself) who lyingly said that Spubs spreads its “corrupt methodology” to all four corners of the world and to countries such as Falastine, ‘Iraq, and Morocco – predominantly Arabic-speaking countries.

As Abu Hakeem mentioned, Spubs’ material is only in English (they don’t produce material in Arabic) as a result of them translating the work of the scholars. This shows that Abu Usamah is actually attacking the Arabic-speaking ‘Ulemma (scholars) and what they relay from the Qur`an and Sunnah (upon its legislated, intended meaning).

And if this is not the case, then let Abu Usamah point out the difference between the ‘Aqeedah/Manhaj that Spubs is relaying and spreading from the ‘ulemma and what is found in the Qur`an and Sunnah with its authentic, intended meaning. If there is no difference – and there is no difference! – then let this be another proof that Abu Usamah actually intends to criticize the methodology that Allaah revealed to His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). [4]

Shaikh Rabee’ challenged all of Ahlul-Bid’ah: “…We challenge the people of bid’ah and desires – people of bid’ah in beliefs and people of political bid’ah – we say: ‘Between us and you is the Salaf, between us and you are the books (of the Salaf)!’

Imam Ahmad (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) used to say to people of bid’ah: ‘Between us and you are the funeral prayers,’ and likewise we say this and we say, ‘Between us and you are the books (of the Salaf). They’re available (to read and benefit from and implement and rectify one’s self and ‘aqeedah/manhaj).’

Allaah said to His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam):

قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

…Say (O Muhammad): “Bring here the Tauraat (Torah) and recite it, if you are truthful.” (Aali ‘Imran, ayah 93)

So they (the Jews) would come with the Tauraat, and it would expose them. As for these innovators, we will bring the books of the Salaf, the Qur`an and Sunnah – we bring the books of al-Bukhaaree, Muslim, Aboo Dawood, at-Tirmidhee, An-Nasa`ee, and what Ahmad and other than him authored. We’ll bring these and (find out) who is upon their way (of these great Imams) and who threw it away and opposed them!!

Just as Allaah challenged the Jews to bring the Tauraat – and when the Tauraat was brought, it exposed them – we likewise challenge them (the innovators) to bring the books of the Salaf in order to clarify who amongst us is deviated, and to put the innovators – amongst “us” or them – to shame…”

This is one of the reasons why Abu Usamah is purposely vague in his false claims such as him seeing “things” and “so and so has corrupt methodology” with no proofs because these claims are false and fabricated without reality or evidence. He makes these claims knowing that he is lying, and hoping no one calls him on it!

The sad reality is that Abu Usamah attacks and refuses to follow Abu Bakr (radiallaahu ‘anhu) “in everything,” yet bewilderingly praises and thoroughly follows refuted Ikhwanee deviants and innovators such as Abul-Hasan al-Ma`rabee, Yusuf al-Qardawi, ‘Abdur-Rahman ‘Abdul-Khaliq, Ali Hasan al-Halabi and ‘Adnaan ‘Ar’oor (and relays their bid’ah and crooked Ikhwanee principles to the unsuspecting masses).

Abu Abu Usamah is a deceptive, conniving individual who sees nothing wrong with blatantly lying to an audience that isn’t really going to make much effort to verify his claims.

Abu Usamah is upon nothing other than the Ikhwanee manhaj of Abul-Hasan al-Ma`rabee, who was refuted more than 120 times by the people of knowledge! Abu Usamah quotes Abul-Hasan often, and Abul-Hasan is the source that Abu Usamah refers to in his invented principles – not the Qur`an and Sunnah (with the correct understanding)!

Abul-Hasan al-Ma`rabee called the Sahaaba “scum” – may Allaah break his back! – so Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi reviles the sahaaba, calling Waleed ibn ‘Uqbah (radiallaahu ‘anhu) a “faasiq” before his revilement of Abu Bakr (radiallaahu ‘anhu).

Hence, student Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said: “Abu Usamah is the Abul-Hasan (al-Ma`rabee) of the West.” [For more on al-Ma`rabee, click here]

How clear is Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi’s deviance that he reviles Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq (radiallaahu Ta’aala ‘anhu) and refuses to follow Abu Bakr, yet he follows a misguided, astray Mubtadi’ (innovator) who was refuted more than 120 times! And this refuted Ikhwanee innovator whom Abu Usamah follows – Abul-Hasan al-Ma`rabee – is upon the ‘aqeedah of the Khawaarij, about whom the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said are “Dogs of the hellfire!”

Abu Usamah intends to direct people to his Ikhwanee methodology that he carbon copied from his beloved – al-Ma`rabee – in opposition to the Methodology that Allaah commands all of jinn and mankind to traverse upon.

Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said in the well-known hadeeth: This Ummah will divide into 73 sects, all of them in the hellfire except one. He was asked, “Which one is that, oh Messenger of Allaah?” He (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: That which I and my companions are upon. [At-Tirmidhee, Al-Haakim; authenticated by Al-Albaanee]

Allaah, Ta’aala, said in His Book:

وَمَنْ يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَى وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّه ِِ مَا تَوَلَّى وَنُصْلِه ِِ جَهَنَّمَ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرا

And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad, (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)) after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers’ way. We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell – what an evil destination. (An-Nisa, ayah 115)

And Allaah said:

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَالَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلا

And (remember) the Day when the Dhaalim (wrong-doer, oppressor, polytheist, etc.) will bite at his hands, he will say: “Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger (Muhammad).” (Al-Furqan, ayah 27)

There is no doubt that Abu Usamah is literally calling to the hellfire!

Student Abul-‘Abbaas Moosa Richardson (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) also exposed this flat-out deviant Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi as someone who attempted to misguide him even back when while they were both in Makkah studying and learning the pure religion from the Salafee scholars. Abul-‘Abbaas – who is still in Makkah learning from the scholars – said that behind the scenes, Abu Usamah was calling him (away from Salafiyyah) to the Hadaadi sect, and even handed him a book of the deviant Mahmood Al-Hadaad. Abul-‘Abbaas said – due to Abu Usamah’s corruption – people were reading Hadaadee material “behind the scenes” while the Salafee scholars were teaching the pure religion. As a cover-up today, Abu Usamah calls the Salafees “Haadades.”

Aoodhubillaah! We learned from the hadeeth of ‘Awf bin Maalik (narrated by Ibn ‘Umar and others) – who stood up against a people accusing Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and the companions of what was not found in them – that falsely accusing others of what you yourself are guilty of is one of the characteristics of the hypocrites. Refuge in Allaah is sought from having a filthy character!

This is the reality of Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi! Do not be deceived by him and his likes, for – by Allaah – you entering Jannah is not their priority as it concerns you! They desire a large following (you amongst them – in opposition to the truth), and your support and your money. Do not be deceived by his speech; rather don’t give his lying tongue your precious ears.

Imam Barbaharee (d. 329 H, rahimahullaah Ta’aala) said in his Sharh Us-Sunnah:

“May Allaah have mercy upon you! Examine carefully the speech of everyone you hear from in your time particularly. So do not act in haste and do not enter in anything from it until you ask and see: Did any of the Companions of the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) speak about it, or did any of the scholars? So if you find a narration from them about it, cling to it, do not go beyond it for anything, and do not give precedence to anything over it and thus fall into the Fire.”

In explanation to the above, Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan (haafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said:

“Each of these matters requires verification through inquiry and investigation, especially in the present age and time. As it is not every speaker who should rightly be considered a source of knowledge, even if he is well-spoken and eloquent, and can manipulate words captivating his listeners. Do not be taken in and accept him until you are aware of the degree and scope of what he possesses of knowledge and understanding. As perhaps someone’s words may be few, but possesses true understanding, and perhaps another will have a great deal of speech yet he is actually ignorant to such a degree that he doesn’t actually possess anything of true understanding. Rather he only has the ability to enchant with his speech so that the people are deceived. Yet he puts forth the perception that he is a scholar, that he is someone of true understanding and comprehension, that he is a capable thinker, and so forth. Through such means and ways, he is able to deceive and beguile the people, taking them away from the way of truth.” [5]

In a tape aptly titled “Deception,” Abu Uwais (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) exposed Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi as an ignorant trickster who plays games and doesn’t actually seek out clarity. And Abu Uwais (may Allaah grant him al-Firdaus) relayed: “Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmee [rahimahullaah] said about Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi: He is an innovator. Stay away from him! …”

And Abu Uwais asked Shaikh Al-Anjaaree (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) about Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi: “I asked Shaikh Anjaaree about this type. I told him because he knows Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi. [If Abu Usamah comes and wants to sit,] what should be the mawqif in this case?

He said: ‘The mawqif in this case is you don’t sit with him. And if you are stuck, forced, you say to him: ‘We’re upon clarity, you’re not upon clarity. Go back until you get some clarity.'”

So beware, oh Muslim, from the likes of these people such as Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi, who is a caller to the hellfire!

Additionally, Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi attempting to deceive Muslims into allowing the sitting with Ahlul-Bid’ah and aiding of them and not refuting them is nothing other than yet another wicked and feeble attempt from Ikhwanul Muslimeen’s objective of abolishing the refutation of falsehood and its people, and watering down of the Religion. They also intend by this the watering down or the doing away of the scholarly refutation upon them! They are so ignorant and astray, they are seeking the impossible, for the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: There will never cease to be a group from my Ummah manifest (victorious), not harmed by those who forsake them nor those who oppose them until the order of Allaah comes and they are upon that. (Bukhaaree, Muslim)

Allaah said (what means): O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islaam), Allaah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allaah, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allaah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allaah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower. (Al-Ma`idah, ayah 54)

Shaikh Zayd bin Muhammad bin Hadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) wrote: “Allaah raised and has raised and will raise in every time those who defend the true religion and defend the Sunnah of the greatest and best and most generous of the Prophets (Muhammad, salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and uncover bid’ah and the plotting of the Innovators and the deception of the deviants, so that no one will be deluded by them and so that those who don’t have much fiqh in Deen will not be misled by these deviants.” [6]

Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi does the opposite! Abu Usamah defends those who innovate into the Deen. In addition to defending the people upon the manhaj of the Khawaarij, Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi is defending someone who is spreading the wicked doubts of the Jahmeeyah, someone named Yusuf Estes, who is reviving the errors of the Jahmeeyah in our time. [Click here]

As another noble student Abu Khadeejah (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) showed, Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi wants to praise innovators and not be refuted for doing so, so he treacherously distorts[7] and hides texts and athaar to follow his desire.

They – Abu Usamah Adh-Dhahabi and others from Ahlul-Bid’ah – desire that Ahlus-Sunnah not refute Shirk and bid’ah and its people, and this opposes what Allaah revealed to His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). How else would we be aware of and warned from dangerous falsehood that leads to the Hellfire? The proofs from the Qur`an and Sunnah concerning the obligation of forbiding the evil – and its virtues and benefits – are overwhelming and abundant. Notes:

[1] [1] [Allaah said:

وَدُّوا لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ

They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so they (too) would compromise with you. (Al-Qalam, ayah 9) Imam Ibn Katheer (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) said about this ayah that it means  “They want you to be quiet about their gods and abandon the truth you are upon.”

[The disbelievers and Ahlul-Bid’ah wish that those relaying the truth and forbidding falsehood cease doing so.] And this is exactly what happens to the ‘ulemma of Ahlus-Sunnah, specifically, and on another level the students and the du’aat (callers).

In regards to the callers dealing with other Muslims, it means [Ahlul-Bid’ah desiring] abandoning talking about their [Ahlul-Bid’ah’s] deviation, abandoning talking about their extremism, abandoning talking about their heresies, abandoning talking about their misguidance, or not saying the truth.

Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said in his tafseer of this ayah:

لَوْ تُدْهِنُ

They wish that you should compromise with them : This is al-Mudahana, and it is to renounce or compromise something from the Religion to please those people [kufaar or Ahlul-Bid’ah], renouncing or giving up something from the Religion to please those people.

- This means [that people of kufr desire that] Ahlul-Islaam making Mudahana with Ahlul-Kufaar

- (Or) coming down a notch, this means [that people of bid’ah desire that] Ahlus-Sunnah making Mudahana with Ahlul-Bid’ah

- (Or) it could also be the people of Islaam with both the kufaar and Ahlul-Bid’ah

Shaikh Fawzaan said: [Allaah said:]

وَدُّوا لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ

They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so they (too) would compromise with you. (Al-Qalam, ayah 9) The Kufaar would like you to compromise, for if you were to incline just a little bit, you would give them what [they] want. So you would compromise with them, and them with you. In another ayah:

Verily, they were about to tempt you away from that which We have revealed (the Qur`an) unto you (O Muhammad), to fabricate something other than it against Us, and then they would certainly have taken you a friend! (Al-Isra`, ayah 73)

وَلَوْلاَ أَنْ ثَبَّتْنَاكَ لَقَدْ كِدْتَّ تَرْكَنُ إِلَيْهِمْ شَيْئا ً قَلِيلا

And had We not made you stand firm, you would nearly have inclined to them a little. (Al-Isra`, ayah 74)

When you compromise, it opens the door for more Mudahana, so you end up making Tamyee‘ (watering down the Religion). For the rest of this lesson, click here.]

[2] It is feared for Abu Usamah that he is also delving into the books of the Raafidah and relaying their infamous lies and taqiyah (deception) – lies which the Raafidah themselves admit and even boast about – in the same way that Yusuf Estes was caught when confronted about the source for his Jamee doubts. Estes was vague – just as Abu Usamah is infamously known for being vague – and said the source for his (Jahmee) claims was one of the major scholars (which of course immediately sounded like a lie). When pressed, he gave up his source and – to the shock and horror of the Muslims – Estes’ source turned out to be a Raafidi “Ayatollaah.” Aoodhubillaah!

Either way, if Abu Usamah read only the truthful authentic sources – the Qur`an and the ahadeeth with their authentic chains – then he would have never ever “seen and read things” as he claimed. This is from the gross ignorance of the Raafidah, who still fabricate material day-and-night, not realizing the Religion has been preserved, the Qur`an is preserved, every hadeeth has already been recorded and preserved. So if this is the darkened, ignorant state of the Raafidah, what does this say about those who follow the Raafidah in this and read their fabrications? As Shaikh FalaaH Isma’eel (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) relayed from the work of Imam Ibnul-Qayyim (rahimahullaah Ta’aala): “The Shee’ah are void of sound intellect. They are a disgrace to the intellect!”

[3] [As is extracted from the Prophet’s statement to ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib: You are to me as Haroon was to Moosa, except that there is no Prophet after me. [Bukhaaree] (And there is a hadeeth that actually explicitly says this, but the chain of that hadeeth is weak.) The true scholars of this Ummah are like the Prophets of Baanee Israaeel, since the Prophets of Baanee Israaeel (those Prophets who were not Messengers) were commanded by Allaah to support and relay the message of the previous Messenger, whereas the Messengers received a Book and a new legislation.

Abu Darda (radiallaahu ‘anhu) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) say: Whoever follows a path to seek knowledge, Allaah will show him the way to Paradise. The angels lower their wings being pleased with the one who seeks knowledge. Whoever is in the heavens and on earth, even the fish in the sea, ask for forgiveness for the scholar. The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like that of the moon over all other heavenly bodies. The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets, for the Prophets did not leave behind Dinars and Dirhams, but they left behind knowledge; and whoever receives it, receives an abundance of good fortune. (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)]

[4] Abu Usamah was advised and then subsequently refuted over a decade ago for errors back then. He’s been declared a Mubtadi’ – an Innovator in the religion of Allaah. He’s had at least 10 years to reflect on his opposition to the Qur`an and Sunnah in ‘Aqeedah and Manhaj, and he still has not distanced himself from those errors in ‘Aqeedah and Manhaj. In fact, his errors have gotten worse. Furthermore, he calls to those errors. So he is knowingly contradicting the truth.

And the seriousness of his errors and statements today – as compared to a decade ago – is not surprising considering Allaah, Subhannahu wa Ta’aala, said:

فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِِ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم

…And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements, etc.) (among the sects) beware, lest some Fitnah (disbelief, trials) befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them.
(An-Noor, ayah 63)

Imam Ahmad (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) said: “Do you know what Fitnah is? The Fitnah is Shirk. Perhaps if he rejects something from his (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) saying, some deviation will fall into his heart and he is destroyed.”

From the insightful statements regarding this above well-known athar is the statement of the grandson of al-Mujjadid (The Reviver), al-Imam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab (rahimahumulllaah).

In referring to this opposition that Allaah – ‘Azza Wa Jall – warned against, and that Imam Ahmad used in criticizing those who give precedence to the statements of others above the command of Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), Shaikh ‘Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abdil-Wahhaab said this: “…shows that it leads to deviation of the hearts, which causes a person to become a Disbeliever!”

May Allaah protect the Muslims from disbelief and bid’ah.

Allaah also said:

It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad) the Book (this Qur`an). In it are Verses that are entirely clear; they are the foundations of the Book; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth), they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings. But none knows its hidden meanings save Allaah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: “We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord.” And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Aali ‘Imran, ayah 7)

The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) recited this [above] verse and then said: If you see those who seek the verses which are not entirely clear, then they are those whom Allaah has named, so beware of them. [Bukharee, Muslim]

Read carefully what Shaikh Rabee’ bin Hadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said concerning this ayah, as relayed by student Abu Yusuf Khaleefah (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala):

“So Allaah has clarified in this verse the true state of the people of deviance and desires, and it is that the people of deviant desires intentionally want evil for the Ummah. [The proof for this is Allaah’s statement about them that they are : seeking fitnah] They seek to make fitnah upon the Muslims, because their intentions are not sound. And because their hearts are sick, and they want the people to be afflicted with their ailments.

And Allaah indeed said about the disbelievers:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تُطِيعُوا فَرِيقا ً مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ يَرُدُّوكُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ كَافِرِينَ

Oh you believe. If you obey a group from amongst those who have been given the Scripture (Jews and Christians), they would cause you to apostate after having faith, being disbelievers. (Aali ‘Imran, ayah 100)

The disbelievers and Christians and Jews would love that the Muslims would apostate from their Religion. And the people of bid’ah have a large portion of this characteristic that the kufaar have – having evil intentions and wanting evil for the people of good.

[Abu Yusuf Khaleefah said: So just as the kufaar don’t want good for the Muslims, Ahlul Bid’ah don’t want good for the Muslims. As Ibn Taymeeyah said: “All people of bid’ah resemble either the Christians or the Jews (or both).”]

So from here we understand that it is obligatory to beware of these individuals with the utmost caution. Allaah has informed us in this verse we mentioned [seventh ayah of Surat Aali ‘Imran] that those who have in their hearts deviance follow that which is unclear from the Qur`an, seeking fitnah, intending to put people upon fitnah in their Religion, and intending to mislead the people from the true Religion of Allaah to that which they are upon of bid’ah and misguidance, and that which they are upon of doubts and conjecture and deviance. These people want evil for those who trust them and the one who mixes with them.

So based upon this, you see the innovators traversing upon many different paths and methods to stop the people of the truth – especially the youth – to prevent them from the true Methodology of Allaah.

So these individuals [innovators] have methods that they are experienced in, matters that they are cunning and conniving in [deceptional, scheming, underhanded] for the purpose of misleading the people, especially the youth in that which they have cultivated their youth upon. To the point that you’ll find from amongst these individuals those who don’t know how to make wudhoo properly, but yet he has with him an abundance of doubtful matters he can bring to confuse the people…”

Abu Yusuf Khaleefah (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) also said: “The reason why Ahlul-Bid’ah do all the distortions and false interpretations of text is because they don’t submit. If they were to submit to what is in the Qur`an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Sahaaba, they wouldn’t do these things. …All these 72 deviant sects have this common denominator: false interpretations of the Religion.”

Imaam al-Fudayl Ibn ‘Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said: “Had the innovator humbled himself to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Prophet, he would not have followed his innovation; but he is amazed with his views, so he follows what he invented.”

If you give Abu Usamah your ears and follow him, you have no one to blame but yourself! This man’s deviance and outright opposition to revelation is clear.

Rather, follow the sincere and truthful Messenger Muhammad (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and follow no one in opposition to him! This is the only way to Jannah!

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) said in Al-Qawlul-Mufeed ‘alaa Kitaabit-Tawheed (2/152): “Some people commit a grievous mistake when it is said to them: ‘Allaah’s Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,’ he says: ‘But in the book of so and so there occurs such and such.’ So it is upon him to fear Allaah, Who said to him in His Book:

وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

And (remember) the Day (Allaah) will call to them, and say: “What answer gave you to the Messengers?” (Al-Qasas, ayah 65) He [Allaah] did not say: ‘What response did you give to so and so?’ As for the author of the book [wherein is the like of this opposing statement], then if it is known that he loves good, and intends good, then supplication for forgiveness and mercy is made for him if he errs. It is not to be said that he is infallible, and his saying used to contradict the saying of the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).”

[5] [A Valued Gift for the Reader of Comments Upon the Book Sharh Us-Sunnah, page 102-103 | Shaykh Saalih Ibn Fawzaan al-Fawzaan]

[6] From the shaikh’s introduction to the book The Agreement among the scholars upon Boycotting and Warning against Ahlul Bid’ah, as relayed by Abu Uwais (rahimahullaah)

[7] Allaah, Ta’aala, said:

ا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِه ِِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم

Oh you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and fear Allaah. Verily! Allaah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (Al-Hujurat, ayah 1) Reading to us from the tafseer of Imam as-Sa’dee (rahimahullaah Ta’aala), Shaikh Hassan ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab al-Banna (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said about this ayah: “This includes one having respect and manners for Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) by submitting to Allaah and His command, and following the Sunnah. This is the reality of manners. And this is a warning from putting one’s statements ahead of Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam).”

Abu Yusuf Khaleefah (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said: “What does it mean to not put yourself before Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)? Meaning :

Don’t speak about any affair until you know what Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) stated. Don’t believe anything until you know what Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said. Don’t do until you know what Allaah said and what His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said. So in that way, that is a sign for your respect for the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah.

You have individuals who honor their parents, they won’t eat before their parents, they won’t get up until their parents get up, they won’t go through a door until their parents go through a door, or even the elders. Always giving precedence to the elders. ‘We gotta be kind to the elders, have a whole conference on respecting the elders.’ Which is – Wallaahi – from the Deen of al-Islaam. It is from the Sunnah.

But what about respecting the Qur`an and Sunnah? What about that? And when I’m speaking about respecting the Qur`an and Sunnah, I’m talking about the actual text. Yes, respecting the elders, yes…but I’m speaking about a person when he is in a position of teaching.

Where’s your respect for the Qur`an and the Sunnah? You speak without knowledge. That’s a disrespect for the Qur`an and Sunnah.

Rather, that’s a commandment that a person has followed from the shaytan, because the shaytan is the one who commands the person to speak without knowledge.

* Abu Yusuf elsewhere had talked about this type of person who believes and then looks for texts to support his beliefs. So if his belief is erroneous, and he is corrected or refuted, pride may fill him up and – instead of accepting the correction and repenting – he instead scrambles and looks for a text. And since no text supports bid’ah or shirk or any falsehood, he then distorts and twists the text to support his erroneous belief, thus falling into a greater error. [From Abu Yusuf’s weekly class Kun Salafiyyan ‘alal Jadd (Be Salafee Upon Seriousness), Class 7, CD 1 of 2.]

[8] Other lowly, selfish, disobedient reasons why the likes of Abu Usamah and others from Ahlul-Bid’ah attack Ahlul-Sunnah is:

- Firstly, they found that no one else refutes them.

Shaikh Rabee’ said: “…These manifestations are being used by every deviant sect and evil hizb (partisan group) to fight Ahlus Sunnah in order to split them because they found that no one clarifies their mistakes and warns from them except Ahlus Sunnah. They find them in the East and West upon one methodology, so they strove in splitting, disrupting, and dividing them until you find this manifestation with the Arabs and the Non-Arabs (‘Ajam) due to the invasion, cunning planning, and fraud of the enemies to this Methodology…”

Shaikh FalaH ibn Isma’eel (hafidhahullaah Ta’aala) said:

“…The truth is in need of being defended. Why?

The Salafee group is one. The deviant groups are 72.

The Salafee group : has 72 arrows, one to target every deviant group. [Meaning the Salafees – those following the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and defending the religion from distortions, corruptions, bid’ah – refute all falsehood, not sparing anyone.]

The 72 Deviant Groups : have 1 arrow each, and each one targeted against the Salafees. The Salafees are attacked by all 72 deviant sects. [Meaning each of the 72 deviants sects fight the truth and the people of the truth, the true followers of the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).]

The Salafees refute the Soofees, the Shee’a, the Khawaarij, the Qaadiriyah, the Murji’a. But all the arrows of the 72 groups are pointed at the Salafees. You don’t find Soofees refuting the Shee’ah, (or vice versa). For example, Khomeini made a du’aa to Allaah to have mercy on (the wicked deviant) Ibn ‘Arabee.

[Repeating the words of one of his shaikhs, Shaikh Falah said]: Glad tidings when deviants attack you.

The Salaf would be delighted if they were rebuked by innovators, because this is a sign that he was upon the truth. If you were an innovator, they would not attack you. …

All 72 sects wage war against the Salafees. All of them say, “I am a Muslim.” Actually, more than 72 sects wage war against the Salafees (if you include the kufaar). The kufaar (disbelievers) wage war against the Salafees, calling us ‘Terrorists,’ ‘Takfeeris,’ ‘Wahhabis,’ ‘Madkhalees.’

Imagine the Salafees in a stadium, and everyone else outside. Salafiyah is in need of defense.

Defense is obligatory and must be upon knowledge. If you don’t have ‘ilm, you will harm.

So why do the disbelievers gather with the 72 deviant sects and not the Salafees? The answer is obvious. They (the disbelievers) believe that society can only function upon democracy, the rule of the majority. The Salafees are one, and the 72 deviant sects are more, so they (kufaar) support the 72.

The Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: There will never cease to be a group from my Ummah manifest (victorious), not harmed by those who forsake them nor those who oppose them until the order of Allaah comes and they are upon that. (Bukhaaree, Muslim)”

- Secondly, since it was by implementing this Salafee manhaj (Qur`an and Sunnah, upon the understanding of the Salaf) that the Salafee scholars refuted them, the deviant reasoning of the likes of Abu Usamah is to criticize the very Salafee Manhaj by which they were refuted.

Instead of repenting to Allaah, and then declaring the truth which he [the likes of Abu Usamah] concealed to his listeners, he sadly decided to attack the pure and infallible revelation, and attribute to it what it is free from – SubhanAllaah – and instead defend his falsehood. He put himself before the religion, and put his statements above the statements of Allaah and His Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhin wa sallam). [For more on this matter, click here]
